Looking forward to beta 5 - hopefully MUSIC will be improved (I would quite like it if when I choose to save a playlist offline ... it actually saves offline ) and that I can change my text tone again.

Other than that though iOS 9 is great for me, beta 4 battery life was good.

Hopefully it's today (iOS 8 beta 5 came on Monday no?) or tomorrow but it could be next week?

I believe you have to tap the "+" symbol to add to My Music before tapping "Make Available Offline" for it to actually show the playlist offline.

As for iOS 9 DP 5. Could be any day of the week with how random last weeks OS X beta builds went. (But it should be this week)

I hope it's today or tomorrow but at this point apple usually moves to a 3 week gap between betas so it might be next week. Here's hoping. Beta 4 is great on my iPhone 6 aside from some minor UI bugs on apple music and messages app.

Unfortunately it doesn't work. I get tons of "This song could not be downloaded" messages and all sorts of crap. The mobile icon to show a song is offline appears and disappears. I have friends on iOS 8 who say similar. Apple Music is still buggy as hell - they're lucky they're giving it away for free at this point!

Plus on iTunes 12.2, songs I added from Apple Music show up as a "Matched" iCloud Status. Good job Apple.

Yes I hope they keep squashing all the bugs in apple music. I love the service but the bugs are pretty rampant!

I can barely manage 4 hours out of my iPhone 6 battery with this beta. This is even after a "Reset all Settings." I'm going to do a completely clean DFU install of iOS 9 when it is released to the public. iPad battery is meh. Kinda always has been, even with iOS 8 because I mostly play games on it at like 50%+ brightness, 6-7 hours is pretty typical.

I'm hoping to get it this week but I'm worried about this:

Beta 5 won't come today just because iOS 8 beta 5 was released on a Monday...

Past betas of the same iOS version are more indicative than anything. It's either tomorrow or next Tuesday.

Or Wednesday?

Doubt it. Beta 2 came out on a Tuesday and it was reported there was a delay with beta 3 which caused it to be released on Wednesday (after Cue said it'd be out 'early [next] week'). Beta 4 was then released on a Tuesday (13 days after beta 3). Seems like they're trying / planning for Tuesdays.

Around this time iOS should really be getting beat into shape. I think there will be 2 betas in August. If not the upcoming beta, the one after should be really, really polished and indicative of how well the final version will be.

Let's hope. Apple has been really disappointing with the polish. iOS 8 never really got "beat into shape." People were saying how 8.2 made a world's difference, and then it was 8.3, some even said 8.4 improved things a bit. But I barely noticed anything at all between any of those, except for minor things being fixed, like the annoying banner issues, pinch to close not working right at all on iPad, and the dreaded copy and paste issues. I don't understand how Apple spends months working on a new update (or in this case 2-3 weeks), releases a 300MB+ update, and nothing is different at all. 8.2 and 8.3 even INTRODUCED plenty of issues, the status bar twitching when unlocking the phone with 8.2 and constant "CoreTime" logs, and with 8.3 I noticed that while bringing down the Notification Center while unlocking the device or opening an app (landscape on iPad) it would come down in portrait until the animation finished. All the way through iOS 8, dozens of battery percentage values would simply skip, and UI lag was all over the place, mostly stuff carried all the way through iOS 7, never fixed!

I know I can't say much given that I have only used Public Beta 1 and 2, but iOS 9 betas seem similar so far. Hopefully things really get beat into shape for the 5th, and hopefully 6th betas. There's nothing else they can do at this point but fix bugs and hopefully performance at this point. Performance luckily is close to on par with iOS 8 as I left it, it's just the App Switcher that is horrible.

I don't want it to be "close" to iOS 8, I want it to be *better* than iOS 8, just like how they claimed. I could never tell that Metal is being used for the animations at this point. I know, it's a "beta," but just look at El Capitan. So far, UI performance beats Yosemite which is awesome. That's what I want for iOS.

Anyway, onto the actual topic. I'm thinking next week for Beta 5 (PB 3). It could come this week but I'm not getting my hopes up. As long as things really smooth out before public release, I'm happy, doesn't matter to me whether there's only 1 beta left or 2.

I know is is really jumping the gun here, but I really am excited to see iOS 9 in it's final forms. I hope we get one MAJOR 9.x performance/UI revisions update, not a ton of pointless ones like with iOS 8. I quite enjoyed the 7.1 update. :p

This beta it's pretty good on my 6 Plus but lord is it laggy. Battery is great I just need it to stop lagging when I open application. That delay is killer.
Good to know it's not just me. My 6 Plus is sooooo slow. You'd think I was using a 4s.
