There is no PB3

Ah yes, my bad I meant PB2 and I'm obviously looking forward to what the third beta does to smooth things out.

8.4 was pretty fast and since iOS 9 is all about optimization there shouldn't be lag at all even if it is a beta.

Where I've noticed lag the most is launching apps (a noticeable delay can be seen when opening an app that wasn't there in 8.4), Apple Music's "For You" section seems very RAM thirsty, and the new 'card' app switcher (animation lag is prevalent).

Agreed which is why I've gone back to 8.4. I'm itching to stay on the beta, but I don't want to until the performance and smoothness at least matches that of 8.4.

Yeah, there are so many different betas now between both OS X and iOS, kinda crazy. But another note on top of all the "strange" days last week for OS X betas, I don't think a single one was even at "normal" times either. OS X DP 5 was late with a 4pm pacific, PB 3 was I think around noon and same for 10.10.5 I think.

Also the El Capitan betas last week were only one week after the previous build. (My bet as to why was because of Windows 10 release, and they wanted to "distract" people from it just a bit.)
I would assume a distraction was the plan

I wonder, if we users push programmers too far, preventing them from developing a well polished software for us to test, and a much better polished and "fine-tuned" software package for general users to use?

Everything is simply going too crazy? We are not walking, we are always running, and we are even trying to fly from the very beginning?

My guess it was coming out yesterday with El Capitan DP6 but they had to delay for some unexpected reason. I guess we should see it today.

What do you expect from Beta 5 ??

I hope the weird bug where the text messages box flashes gray for a second disappears. Such a small bug but drives me insane. Also. I hope for more UI changes to Apple Music. Other than that beta 4 was working pretty good on my iPhone 6.

I notice lag the most with spotlight. Searching for apps so I can click to open there versus opening folders has become a habit of mine but at the moment its painful. I'm taking a breath and sticking with it, I signed up for the long haul as this is developed but I do notice it.

I just want to be able to restore from iCloud backup FULLY. As of now, it won't restore photos/videos.

I doubt Apple are feeling 'pushed' by our small group of over-eager beta users.

Can definetly see where you are coming from though.

Is that a bug for you because it does certainly restore photos and videos.

Might be. I don't know. All I know is after wiping and restoring my phone 4 times, photos and videos will not restore every time. I am hoping it's not a botched backup. I am going to try it again on B5 whenever it drops. If after that, I give up and will start fresh.

They don't. Once on wifi they will start downloading from the cloud.

That's how it should work and has worked in the past. It takes forever but it works. However this time, it does not work. I have left it going for 8 hours, nada. It stops after 120 photos and does nothing. It restores my apps/settings and everything else just fine. It restores my photo/video count and albums but it will not restore the actual files.

Ahh ok. And yeah I've had issues like that before but eventually they all restore but iCloud photos has been buggy for me as well. There might be a photo or two that are corrupt and messing up the whole restore process.
