I'll have to try some out, I havent been impressed by VLC lately. Too many sound issues.

VLC shouldn't be used as a generic audio player - unless you plan to play back some special audio formats. (See section "1.5 Audio-only playback" at https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1652736/ for my full explanation and review of its audio playback capabilities and how it compares to other AppStore players.)

For "plain" AAC / MP3, there are a lot better AppStore players out there with far better thought-out / fluid interfaces.

I know I'm jumping ahead but thought I'd ask anyways. Has anyone come across a music player that will replace the one in ios 7 and restore the older version? I really dont like that it doesnt have cover flow and dont like the way artists and albums are meshed to one page in the new ios7 music player. Takes forever to get to an album if you have for eg 10 albums loaded for a particular artist.

Try 'Lagu' free in the app store. Looks near identical to music player in iOS 6.

True. I'm thinking about going prepaid next and just buying used phones.

That's what I've decided to do too, except I might occasionally buy a brand new phone and sell it later. I used to think I was getting a good deal with the big carriers. haha. Then I found out the smaller carriers use the same towers! They might be limited somewhat with data speeds, but I'm usually somewhere that there is wifi, and it's still fast enough on regular 3G in the States. (I've yet to experience true 4G LTE since I've been overseas when they started expanding it, so I won't know what I'm missing. haha. :) )

Well, I'll just tell you this. I have Verizon and the 3G with them is very slow. So LTE and 3G is night and day for me. But since I'm mostly on wifi, (I live on campus), I don't usually use my data.

Ragemasta, the dev of the tethered Ragebreak jailbreak for iPhone 4, recommended adding
Cydia.myrepospace.com/ipwdapple, then installing Bootstrap. I don't know enough about it, but evidently it's supposed to make some tweaks work. I tried a couple and it didn't, although iFile works great. iFile might have worked fine without it. I don't know for sure.

I saw a post in some other thread and there was a quote by Saurik that you shouldn't use Bootstrap because it causes more harm than good. At least that's how I understood it..

May I know how you guys put your own custom logos manually into the library? Previous jailbreak I used iFunbox, seem like current jailbreak doesn't work with iFunbox. :(

I'm not sure as I haven't been able to mess with it yet, but I believe you have to download afc2add in cydia.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll probably just uninstall it then.

I uninstalled Bootstrap, but then one of my apps would crash. So, I rebooted, which solved the problem. Then, however, accelerate was MIA. I tried uninstalling, then reinstalling accelerate, but it didn't show up again. Sucks! That's it; I'm done. Until they update most Cydia apps.

I'm not done quite yet, it seems. I simply reinstalled mobile substrate and then, accelerate came back! That made me glad.

HiddenSettings7 is ios7 ready. It adds a settings section to the control center and has lots of interesting settings hidden by Apple. Some might find it useful. Available from BigBoss.
