My new iPad stand came today! So far, looks and works great! I like that it lifts it a little higher off my desk. It feels well built and sturdy, so much better than the makeshift stand I was using before! 👍🏻.

Update on the stand, I tested it out with my iPad Pro a bit today, and decided to raise it up rather than having it low like I had it before. This will be great for when I want to dock my iPad Pro at my desk, but don’t have my Magic Keyboard Case with me. This setup opens up a whole new range of possibilities! 👍🏻. I may need to rework some things, like running a cable on that side of the monitor for docking purposes. And I’m thinking about eventually getting a Magic Trackpad and Keyboard for my desk to improve this setup even further. 👍🏻

Im looking for a way to attach your iPad to your belt that allows for easy instant access and you dont have to carry it in hand.
the WBO,WHO,xXx,DIAF,OFU!,WFA,KOU,NHL,UR0,RSVP,IH8U.FEMA
and other fighting organizations have a vast supply of belts for this theory.

I'm serious. It will be quicker to access the iPad when it's on your belt.
This might work. 👍🏻

Which model of iPad are you looking to carry?

13" iPad pro

This might work. 👍🏻

Seems expensive for an iPad holster. Im surprised more people dont mount their iPads to their belts.

Honestly, I think the iPad Mini is probably the only model I would even consider belt carrying. But I do have a nice tablet sleeve. One with a shoulder strap would probably be a good alternative to belt carrying. 👍🏻

I did find this. Looks like it will do the job too.

It does seem crazy to me that more than 11 years after the OP I am still daily using three different devices between my phone, iPad and MBP, and I don't see anyway around it effectively. While I can do most of what I need on the iPad Pro, in terms of efficiency, the processes of creation and navigating documents and presentations are SO much faster for me on my MBP. On the other hand, when I teach I frequently use Keynote's remote feature in order to highlight, make notes and navigate to project on another screen connected to a Mini M4 Pro. If the MBP would come out with a built-in touch screen I would probably do away with the iPad. The phone's screen is too small for presentation with live annotation, so right now I am still using iOS, iPad OS and Mac OS for daily life. Maybe someday we will get down to 2 devices, but due to size differences, I don't ever see moving to a single device unless the 4-fold iPhone becomes a thing.

Get a duster too.

Yeah, it’s a bit nuts. Having said that, I would be happy with two devices, as it gives redundancy - if one device says byebye (as my iPad did about two weeks ago), you can limp along on the other device until you get a repair/replacement.

I noticed that Logitech released a very cheap Bluetooth keyboard last year - the K250.

It could come in handy if you need a cheap keyboard for occasional use (or kids). A little faster than trying to bang out a long email on your screen.

I know this on the high side (probably could find this used for a good price)… but Keys to Go Logitech Keyboard was my favorite keyboard when I was connecting via bluetooth.

Slim profile, super light… my only wish was that it had backlight keys. Not sure why Logitech decided to completely change up the design… prefer this one over the 2nd generation one.

I love the idea of this keyboard, but I find it miserable to actually type on. The way the cover is just one piece makes it all feel mushy when I'm typing and I don't get the feel of hitting individual keys.

Not going to deny it was weird in the initial stages, because it’s not your typical keyboard with normal elevated keys. But I never had a problem typing after I adjusted to it (didn’t take long) and the idea behind this keyboard was copying original Microsoft Surface Touch Cover which was a big hit during that time.

I've been using this foldable keyboard from Nillkin for a little while now. No idea how it will hold up over time but it's been very handy for coffee shop use:

As a bonus it comes with a carrying pouch that is exactly big enough to hold the keyboard, a magic mouse, and an little controller from iine so I can take a break and knock out some quick Genshin dailies.

Neither is an affiliate link and I'm not associated with either but very handy.

Found a solution to the keyboard not showing on the iPad when paired with Apple keyboard and trackpad with my ASD.
Turned Bluetooth off and on again on the iPad, now shows on iPad and when plugged into ASD keyboard/trackpad works even though says not connected in iPad Bluetooth settings lol

I have no MacBook Air or Mac mini now so all in with iPad Pro and ASD.
My uses are simple but I just want a big nice screen at my desk and a portable device, may get the Magic Keyboard case for on the go.
Take 2 :)

Awesome, I’m very glad to hear you found a solution. 🙂👍🏻

I can definitely recommend the Magic Keyboard Case. I really like the Aluminum palm rest on the new one. There is also a Logitech case that uses the Smart Connector pins on the back of the iPad as well, only the Logitech case is a bit more surface pro style with a kickstand and a fabric keyboard cover. I’ve heard great things about that one as well. 👍🏻. Though one advantage of the Magic Keyboard Case is that it adds an additional USB-C port for charging the iPad, freeing up the iPad’s own port for other things if needed. 🙂👍🏻
