...and if you're as bitter as this post would suggest, I can only imagine what they say behind yours.

Why the hostility?

Because I take the gym "seriously". Who brings out an iPad at the gym? You're there to workout, not watch a movie.

My friend who is jealous of my iPod touch 4G (he even told me), disses my iPod touch 4g and iPad all the time, by saying the new iPod touch has no real differences(REALLY?) and that iPad is just a big iPod touch.

True, but when you are doing a 30 minute cardio session on the treadmill or on a bike, I'd rather be staring at something other than a brick wall or some sweaty dude grunting whilst working on his poser muscles.

I had to laugh when he guy put "seriously" in quotes, as in "I take the gym "seriously."". Guaranteed he is some old guy who found the gym late in life and now thinks he's a big stud.

I definitely like to watch something entertaining when I'm doing cardio...I normally carry my iPod touch and watch ripped content.

What's funny is that I'm 21 and I represent a supplement company in my free time.

Unlike alot of you I've had no negative reactions in public. Some have asked "is it better than a laptop?" Well.....it depends on what you are using it for. I tell them if you use a laptop for multitasking, or heavy computing? Then "No". For web surfing, checking email, twitter, directions or on the spot web...then "Yes". You would be surprised to find out how much you DON'T need a laptop. Mine has been relegated to power point presentations and heavy work related duties. When I want reviews and directions to a good sushi joint in an unfamiliar city? Guess where I turn. What do I watch on a long flight? How do I stream my favorite shows in a hotel room?.......You guessed it......Ipad. It is NOT a laptop killer per se'. Just alot of people finding out that a laptop is much more than they needed.

Same, I used it in public today for the first time and in the first 20 mins three people came up to me and asked if I was happy with it, if you could work on it, if it's good for surfing the web and whatnot. I also let one try it.

Haters gonna hate. I got a solid dose when class first started, and I pulled out my iPad first day. I have pretty much all the same people in all of my classes. They are lugging around math, physics, and CS text books. I have all of my texts (and other supplementary reference material) on my iPad. I also have everything else my iPad can do.

Suck it nerds!
