Just a quick update. This cable works on the New iPad. Mirrors the iPad just like the iPad 2.
if the ipad1 app allows video out this will work,...there is no diff about the vid vga adapter , it just sends power as well.Hi Nox and everyone on here.
Nox I'd like to have one made if that's ok. I'm in the UK so just let me know what the shipping will be, not too bothered if it's on a slow service, it's going to be used for my house in France and not going there for a few weeks.
Can anyone on here tell me the following just before I order from Nox:
- Does it work with the ipad 1?
- Does anyone have a putlocker premium account and if so has anyone tested to see if videos watched through this work on to the big screen? I think the ipad 1 doesn't mirror? But if you watch a video it essentially plays in a fullscreen video play like in youtube.
Thanks
Sam

Thanks for prompt reply. I think it does transfer video as per youtube but I think ipad 1 may be limited to say just photos/youtube etc where as it's my understanding that the ipad 2 mirrors, which would be handy if anyone knows if this does now work on ipad 1. Reason being is in France I use a premium putlocker account to watch shows on ipad and would be great if could get on the big screen. This is essentially and player launched from a browser that ends up looking like it's the ipad native video app but I'm not 100% sure.
I use macs daily as a designer, and for personal use and do love them but sometimes I do wish things on them were a little easier - while I wouldn't want another tablet brand I'm sure the options on signals out and mirroring work on even the most basic model.
Hello Humorme,
The modified VGA Cable is $65 each .I also have one that comes with an extension cable and 10w charger for $75 each. Shipping is included if shipped in the US.
As for the DVI cable, I have not worked on that one before. Did you mean the "HDMI" cable? If so, I believe it has the capability to charge. If you can send me a link to what it looks like that would help me to see which cable you are talking about.
The extension cable/charger looks like this, if your interested.

Hello,
It is possible that I still have grounding problems, but while I can charge from a computer using this cable design, I cannot transfer data. It does allow me to charge and display video at the same time, so I can live with that. I'll just have to carry another cable around, but at least I won't run out of power during a presentation.
On another note, I broke the casing for the 30-pin connector... anyone know where I can get a decent looking replacement?
Just another testimonial for this ingenious modification .
I've been all over the country , maybe done 200 presentations with this device and it works every time ..
great great piece of equipment thanks nox....
