Twitter does this, even if the media is muted. Unmuting then re-muting one element will fix it temporarily.Always? Umm... this doesn't make much sense. If no audio is playing... there is no reason for the music to stop.

I personally don’t experience this. I‘m able to scroll through Twitter while media is muted and Apple Music/Pocket Cast app being uninterrupted.Twitter does this, even if the media is muted. Unmuting then re-muting one element will fix it temporarily.
this really shouldn’t matter anymore, since developers will need to design around this limitation and find ways to make their implementation work. This needs to be improved systematically which Apple can only doI personally don’t experience this. I’m curious… was the last time you scroll through Twitter and audio gets paused on the iPad?
Again, I’m not denying that there should be a method to allow simultaneous audio streams. I enjoy using it on my Galaxy Fold… (which it’s not on by default).this really shouldn’t matter anymore, since developers will need to design around this limitation and find ways to make their implementation work. I noticed that too. Reddit gently lowers the volume. I kinda like it. When it works… it still pauses my audio when nothing is playing 😪Looks like this is app dependent. I can do simultaneous playback on i.e. the Reddit app. But the same URL/video on Safari would cancel the other audio.
I pretty much have this issue with every website that theoretically could play any kind of video. HEY YOU MIGHT PRESS PLAY SO I BETTER STOP YOU MUSIC!!!Always? Umm... this doesn't make much sense. If no audio is playing... there is no reason for the music to stop.

Use an ad blocker. And if macrumors doesn’t like that then they can petition Apple to properly allow advertising that doesn’t stop media playback. It’s not our problem to deal with Apple, but to remedy it on our own is all we can do.I pretty much have this issue with every website that theoretically could play any kind of video. Also these google ads like they are used on MacRumors (even in this forum) will instantly stop playback. HEY THERE IS A SILENTLY ANIMATED AD I AM SURE THIS MEANS MUSIC PLAYBACK IS BEST STOPED ASAP!!!
It’s wildly terrible.
Right now I even have Spotify on my HomePod, a different audio device than the fkkn iPad and it still stops the sodding playback. It’s SO bad.
