Here is display roadmap from Ross Young, you all know how good his prediction on iPhone's display roadmap is. According to him, in 2025 that is one year after new iPad lineup, Apple will upgrade standard iPhone 17's display to LTPO which means adaptive refresh rate. Both standard and Pro iPhone will use LTPO display, Apple of course will differentiate them by having under panel FaceID on Pro models.
High refresh rate technology is nothing new, most phone and tablet OEMs has embraced such technology. Some even on low end models. That's why I tend to believe it will be available on iPad Mini and Air 10.9" and remember this is LED display not OLED like upcoming iPad Pro...
I think Apple will cut the promotion from the panel, or add on an extra $100 and include it. If the latter, I suspect the jump to the 12.9in Pro won't be that much anyway.12.9-Inch iPad Air Now Rumored to Feature Mini-LED Display
The rumored 12.9-inch iPad Air that is expected to be announced in May will be equipped with a mini-LED display like the current 12.9-inch iPad Pro, according to Ross Young, CEO of research firm Display Supply Chain Consultants. If upcoming iPad Air is featuring Mini-LED, then I think Pro-Motion should be standard. Hmm, suddenly my speculated price $899 doesn't look so bad.
12.9" iPad Air should come with M2. It is iPad Pro that comes with M3.Hmm, 12.9" iPad Air very interesting. With an M3?. I don't need the camera the iPad Pro will have but. But I want 1TB of storage and the increased in RAM that goes with it.
Originally I was going to get a iPad without cellular but not anymore I finally have 5Gmw and with it I am getting over 300 mbps. That is warp speed smoking for Cheyenne. With my DSL my Mac Studio is stuck with 14 mbps.
Called it.12.9-Inch iPad Air Now Rumored to Feature Mini-LED Display

When are new iPad Pros being announced?
If the 13-inch Pro has inferior OLED tech and the 13-inch Air has MicroLED, that may drive me to get the Air. Y'all might say it's unlikely, but I can't help but think that Apple will do that in order to avoid the hassle of ordering new displays, by just reusing the display tech of the M2 Pros...forums.macrumors.com
I wonder what this will mean for its price. I always assumed the 12.9" iPad Air would have a normal LCD display to keep it affordable for people who just want the larger screen and don't care about the other bells and whistles. Its great the 12.9" Ipad Air will have Mini LED display, but will it have the full fat Promotion version?
No, it wouldn't necessarily. For example, the iPhone 12 Pro's display technically supported 120 Hz framerates. It just didn't have the right controller/drivers (hardware) to do so.If they are using leftover iPad 12.9 Pro screens, it would support 120 Hz. But they could disable it in software, which would be a dick move by Apple.
If Ross young says it then it’s likely right. All display for new devices he would be correct on
Absolutely, 128 GB storage on the Airs should be standard (like the regular iPhones which are essentially Air devices). From a business perspective for Apple though, this would cannibalise Ipad Pro sales as 128 GB storage is the sweet spot for the masses. They got to get of 64gb from the mini and the Airs. It’s too low in 2024. Make 128Gb standard

I predict that the iPad 11 will get the A15 or A16 and no Apple Intelligence, but that it will replace the iPad 10 at $349. Still 64GB storage. We should be expecting new generation of the most popular iPad, i.e.. 11th generation by the end of the year. Below is my speculation of the specs and pricing of both iPad 11th gen and iPad Mini 7th. Feel free to express your ideas as well: -

PS: If iPad 11th gen is indeed getting M1 SoC, maybe Apple will update Apple TV with M1 SoC to tackle gaming console market which has been rumored for quite sometimes...
- If upcoming iPad 11th Gen is getting M1 SoC, it should be the biggest upgrade and changes since original iPad. Remember first iPad with starting price of $499?
- I have listed down GeekBench 6 scores in the table above. iPad Air is getting binned down version of GPU (9 cores total), that's why if iPad 11th Gen is getting full die of M1, the gap won't be as large compared to 10th Gen iPad.
- We can all forget about getting iPad Mini Pro since iPad Air 12.9-inch is not even getting Pro-Motion. Let's hope Apple is pumping the SoC to A18 with 8GB LPDDR5....and 128GB storage. OTOH, I am not sure Apple would bundle 64GB or 128GB storage for iPad 11th gen.
It should hopefully get 8GB RAM but not more than that, considering the Air M2 and Pro M4 (base) have 8 GB RAM as standard.I truly hope the mini gets more than 8 gbs of RAM. They upgrade it so infrequently, and I don’t think 8 will suffice for long given how fast AI is progressing and how much RAM it needs.
