iPad order shipped earlier than expected.

I don't normally start threads like this, but I just wanted to let anyone who has ordered or may be ordering an iPad, that apple has shipped mine earlier than expected.
I ordered mine on May 26th with a ship date of June 10th and a delivery on June 15th. My status now says shipped, with a delivery on the 8th. Granted, I order the wifi version so this may not have an impact on 3g orders but maybe things are picking up and apple is processing orders faster.
I apologize if this has been covered.

Also, the Apple case and camera kit aren't supposed to arrive until July 9th!?! I guess I better be careful with it until the case arrives weeks later.

I ordered a 64GB 3G last night, but was not given a ship date or estimated arrival, just "Ships: June".
I wonder when they will give me dates. Agreed, the waiting part sucks.

i got a ship and delivery date as soon as I ordered. not really sure why you didn't unless they are updating their stock and waiting to give you a more accurate ship date.

Did any of you purchase when the shipping was June either in UK or international. I know the States says 7-10 days, so ship dates are estimated.
However with this June ship date there was no estimate
I could cancel and re-order lol for the 7-10 business days.

The iPad comes all wrapped in plastic, so with that... you are okay from some rain water (and basic use), but it's definitely not long term based on the plastic they use. Be careful!

Looks like you and I are in the same boat. Mine is at Lantau as well. I usually receive orders a day or two earlier than posted so maybe this will be true for this order as well.

Mine was ordered online from apple store may 22, they promised shipment by june 8 and delivery by june 11. But it's coming sooner, estimated delivery is june 9th. I have sometimes had things show up just one day after they hit Memphis, so who knows. I am psyched even though I'm still wondering if I will be able to get a data plan after an AT&T guy said I have to LIVE in an AT&T coverage area. Not the case for my AT&T-based cell phones, I told him. He said yeah but you're a long time customer and now we changed our policy, and your account is flagged for non-coverage area zip code so you would not be able to add a line now. Hmm. Time to fly into a rage? Well, time will tell... Anyway the device is winging its way here in a big hurry:

No, I got the 32GB 3G. It looks like a bunch of ours are on the same truck/plane. I still haven't received any new updates other than that it departed from Memphis.

Mine looks like yours to the letter. I just checked the site and it still says its in Hong Kong. I guess the online sight isn't very accurate.

My status changed to shipping with a tracking number on Friday with a ship date of Saturday. It had all the Hong Kong and China stuff. Then arrived in Memphis over the weekend and was at my door at 8:37am Yesterday (Monday) morning.

I was a bit shocked and just a little giddy.

Was worried about the unlimited plan not being there, but it was (along with the other two options). And it was actually the default selection. I would have thought they would have made 2gb the default selection to "catch" a few people.

Very happy now. Yours will arrive shortly.

Ordered a 32 GB 3G on Sat and it's expected to ship on June 18th with Deliver June 24th... must have been the last minute rush before June 7th.

I love how the Apple website still says 7 - 10 days though.

OMG. I have the same here, it's supposed to be delivered tomorrow. The problem is, im in Mexico so i send it to San Pablo, CA, because my sister is gonna come in june 10th, so it's very urgent to be delivered by tomorrow.

this is frustrating, if FedEx fails, im not gonna see mi iPad till August

I fill your pain but I think you should be good for delivery tomorrow. I've seen this before with fed-ex but they are good for being on time. I should say I've never had a problem with them but I'm sure some have.

same thing happened to me. i was pleasantly surprised.

mine came in 4 days after getting on the notify me list... and i live in a very populated area. was not expecting it to come so quick (much like my wife haha. ok, bad joke).

I remember a year ago, similar thing happened when I ordered my MacBook Pro, but now it seems more complicated...

I was very happy, and I expected that in the FedEx status could change to Alaska or something today, but it didn't happened.
