iPad Pro 10.5 Cases Thread

Why is innovation so stagnant in the area of iPad cases? Just about every option out there is strictly landscape orientation for standing it up. I would love to see more thin and light cases as innovative as this one. Has anyone else seen anything similar to this?
 
My iPad Pro 10.5 just arrived. Tried it in the Moko Case Smart Shell and it's not a particularly great fit. It won't fit flush in the case on one corner.

Maybe if Apple would drop all the hyper-secrecy BS and just send out molds to the vendors ahead of time, people wouldn't have to run around like chickens with their heads cut off.

I just got an email from the Moko distributor. They have acknowledged that the is an issue with the hard plastic case and that the camera cutout may not be right. They say they are sending a replacement within 7 days and I do not have to return the original.

I wound up ordering one of these over the weekend and it is being delivered today. Hoping this winds up working too. I'm hoping the pictures in the listing are doctored since they probably did not have a real iPad Pro 10.5 to take photos with.

Moko case, camera lens is too large to fit into their hole. Annoying.

Got the same thing. I'm pretty happy they are on top of it as best as they can be. I have something to give a little protection and will receive a new case without even having to ask. Seems like good customer service to me. It sucks it didn't fit, but I'm sure they did their best since apple is so secretive

I returned my navy blue Moko Case to Amazon today, clearly they have issues with alignments of the cutouts; also it looks cheap on a £709 device, I simply cant have it! Are full leather cases still coming from Apple or we are stuck with keyboards, sleeves & not so smart backless covers:confused:
 
Truly bizarre to me that Apple didn't at least release the silicone case to go along with the smart cover. Seems like a given add-on accessory sale for almost every iPad.

Did they really sell that poorly for the last Pro?

I'm hoping this changes (assuming it will) but disappointed that so many launch cases don't hold the pencil. For my 9.7 I was using the Speck Stylefolio Pencil case, but they told me last week they're not updating that for the 10.5. I don't need the keyboard, I don't want to pay $130 for the Pad & Quill one, so I guess I just carry it separately for the moment? Is that what everybody is doing? I bought an Apple cover as a temp until I can find something that's decent.
 
This leather case dilemma is making me rethink my purchase before it arrives:mad:. :apple: completely missed the road on this one!! My previous Air 2 :apple: midnight blue leather case did a fantastic job since launch until sold last week; the Air 2 buyer was so pleased.

A ploy to get everyone on the overpriced keyboard & sleeve springs to mind:rolleyes:
 
The first review of the Luvvitt TPU case is in on Amazon. The opening for the Smart Keyboard and Cover is not wide enough!

From Amazon website:
"I just received this cover on iPad 10.5 launch day but it doesn't work with the Smart Keyboard. The cutout on the case for the Smart Keyboard magnetic attaching is not wide enough. Apple made the 10.5 Smart Keyboard magnet wider then the 9.7 version, but the new 10.5 is still at the same 9.7 dimensions.

A quick but dirty fix is to get a razor blade and cut away the extra case material."

No luck at my local Best Buy, looks like at least for now I will be dropping money on an Apple Smart Cover and sleeve.

If someone had the speck folio in stock I would have taken that until Zugu comes out with their case in 6 weeks. But I'm not willing to leave my device fully naked for 6 weeks. For all I know I will wind up liking the cover/sleeve combo and stick with it.
 
Review of Moko hard plastic back shell from Amazon:

"Not only did this not fit my new 10.5 iPad pro because it had a misaligned camera cut out, but it also scratched my new iPad!"

Don't think i want to take a chance using this case. I guess I will either cut the Luvvitt (and hope they make things right with a new cover down the road) or go naked until something decent comes out.
 
Luvvitt has changed their listing on Amazon to indicate it does not work with the Smart Keyboard, but is compatible with the Smart Cover. This is impossible since the attachment strip for both are the exact same length. They do state in their listing that early purchasers will be sent a new cover when they are available.
 
Has anyone had any luck with non Moko or Apple cases today for 10.5?

If anyone receives a replacement Moko case that fits like a glove ;), please advise.

Yep, smart cover doesn't fit either. At least the leather cover doesn't.
