iPad Pro 12.9 Availability in Apple Stores

Very old stomping ground's. How close were you to Atiwanda Ave in Devonshire Street ? Many changes I bet, it's been years. Now I live in Florida
It looks like a bunch of the stores in the U.S. are getting stock of the 12.9 today. It also looks like the SG in 256 is more widely available.
Here is hoping that it has become "SG" time in the production run.
I'd love for my SG/LTE/512 to ship sooner than the last estimate i have from BBY of July 10-14th. Especially since it is my daughters and she is busy with her dad that week. I could hog it the whole week and not have to share!!!!
although not from apple, i have been waiting to get the 512 SG 12.9 LTE model. and today bestbuy did not show any in stock. however just an hour ago, they were available with store shipping july 10th but ship direct to you by july 3!
so i put in an order and i pinky promise in less than 30 minutes it was shipped! wow. july 3rd delivery.

My Best Buy order is with the Business/education side of things. Who knows when they will get theirs.
It looks like the availability of the 12.9 in the Apple stores is increasing every day. The 512GB 12.9 has a lot of stock now.
Even if your store doesn't show a particular model or color in stock, my advice is just ask. I was at my local Aspen Grove Store and they were showing the model I wanted to purchase as being out until July 27th, except for Gold color, which I didn't want. So I went in and asked if they had that model in Space Gray, even though while standing right there in the store, inventory said they did not. They checked, they did have one and it went home with me 
Thanks for the heads up, but that is literally the only one they have in stock in any San Antonio store, so they are not prevalent. Also, I want 256
From my experience they usually keep set few aside for walk in's and those don't typically appear to show as "available for pick up online". I've had this experience my self when ordering AirPods. I ordered one online for pick up, few minutes later, both Apple.com and istocknow.com showed that it was out of stock. When I went to the apple store to pick up mine. They had set a side a dozen for walk in's and those didn't appear. So just because apple.com or istocknow.com show they are out of stock, they actually do keep a few set a side. So worth trying and going to the apple store.
I was able to walk in to an Apple Store today and walk out with a 12.9" 256GB LTE Space Gray today no problem!

Two tools to use to locate the model of your choice if they have not been mentioned already:
1.) iStocknow is fairly reliable for in stock items.
2.) You can call your local Apple Store and say "Manager" when prompted. You can ask if a specific model is in stock. Apple will NOT verify how many of that model is in stock.

That's cool I intend to order the night before me and my friends go to the Apple Store. I think you have to pay before going to collect anyway so it's probably easier to reserve and collect than wondering in and seeing if they have any in stock.
Just bought 12.9 space gray 256gb cellular at la cantera in San Antonio. Just FYI, Apple.com said it was in stock but the istocknow site did not.
I was also told that it only pops up on Apple.com as available if they have a certain number in stock. So, it is worth it to call and ask or even go in. I'd suggest going in because while over the phone they confirmed they had it, they said they weren't allowed to tell me how many were left. Also, they wouldn't hold one for me. I had to order through apple.com to pick up from store.

As I don't like spending the effort calling around to try to get a 12.9" as I already bought a 10.5" 256GB LTE and could wait for it to show online in stock at Apple stores, I saw in my area over the weekend a nearby Apple store had the 12.9 64GB (which was what I was looking for) available for same day pickup so I ordered and was planning to pick it up until I saw a nearby Best Buy had the model available open box for $727.99, so I ordered that instead!
The savings wasn't really my priority and I think the best thing about buying open box from Best Buy instead of new from Apple, as an elite status member I now have 30 days to return instead of the 14 days I would have had at the Apple store, plus I get about $15 dollars in rewards certificates! It's worth checking bestbuy.com if you're looking for the 12.9" model and don't mind buying open box as within the past week they started showing open box availability.

Finally after July 4thgate, the iPad 12.9 512gb LTE SG was in my grubby hands.
Coming from the original O.G. Launch day IPad 12.9 SG 128GB LTE model, the 120hz is really a major asset on this guy. Swiping and screen refresh are much improved. I use this machine 5 days a week hours at a time and this is really a major improvement. The slim combo Logitech keyboard case thingy is also much improved over the original OG Logitech keyboard case. Not meaning to go off topic but reall am pleased with these two items.

It's a two week hold I believe, and they don't care what time you come in. For the iPhone launch, there are timeslots, but not for something like this.
I ordered 6/13 and won't get it until 7/14!ordered mine online on the 27th of June and says ships 1-2 weeks with delivery from Jul 12 - 19th. that's what i get for not living near an apple store...
(that is an attempt to cheer you up - it is horrible waiting, 3 people wanting to share 1 9.7 iPP is brutal around here! LOL)
