I just received this notice: “An emergency situation or severe weather condition has delayed delivery. / Your shipment is scheduled to arrive today after the delivery commitment time.”
Mine was originally scheduled for delivery on the 25, then went to the 24, now says delivery date is unavailable. Anyone else get that notice?

Is anyone with scheduled delivery tomorrow still stuck in anchorage? My status has been the departure scan in anchorage yesterday morning 2:34AM

Yes, mine is also still 'mid flight' and hasn't made it to Louisville or anywhere else yet.

Spoke to EE, they haven't got the stock due to shipping issues - anyone who has bought through them could be a bit of a wait

And now it has been scanned is Louisville, Kentucky at 12:31pm est so I think we are back on track and show a delivery of the 25th again!

also PLEASE give something to your delivery drivers, wether its fedex, UPS etc. These guys are working and don't have a lot of protective stuff... so it would be great if you could spare any kind of cleaning supplies, hand sanitizer etc. Now I know that stuff is hard to come by but something even as sealed water bottle and sealed snacks would be good.

yesterday I gave a UPS driver hand sanitizer since I could spare some (now again that's my situation and I would love to give something else like cleaning stuff but I am low on it myself) so next comes snacks and bottled water

again I know there are some many people on need this wa just one way I thought I could do some help while stuck at home.

Pls be remind that before U unpack your new iPad, pls use alcohol wipe to wipe and clean. And once finish, wash your hand.
I’ve been debating whether or not this would be necessary, but I was thinking about the iPad box itself and it has been many days since it has been touched by a human. however the outer packaging has been handled by humans all along the delivery path from China to the delivery person who (hopefully) gently places it on your doorstep. It, therefore, would most likely be good to err on the side of caution, and wipe down the packaging before opening.

At 7:14 AM this morning I finally received an e-mail from Apple saying that my iPad Pro, that has been sitting in Anchorage Alaska since Sunday, has been Shipped! Yea!

At 7:48 AM I got an e-mail from UPS that my package may be delayed. Boo.

Actually this is not unforeseen given the CaronaVirus situation, and I believe that everyone is doing the best they can.

Checking my order on the Apple Store there is also a notification that it may be delayed, however tracking the package shows it arrived in Louisvill, KY at 11:38 AM today, and it is still listed as being delivered tomorrow. So news is iffy, the notifications do say, “May be delayed,” not ”will be delayed.” I don’t want important equipment needed to defeat the Covid-19 virus to be delayed just so I can get my new tool.

iPad and iPad box will be fine. Was shipped out from China on 3/20. Shipping box yea would disinfect for sure not just this package but any package everyone is receiving.

"Scientists discovered the virus is detectable for up to three hours in aerosols, up to four hours on copper, up to 24 hours on cardboard and up to two to three days on plastic and stainless steel."
