iPad Pro IPad Pro 64GB?

It was a $100 for quadruple the storage. Done.
Yep, I got the 64GB LTE as well. In fact in the local Apple Store (Brussels, Belgium) it was the only model that was out of stock so I had to order online.
I have a 64GB iPhone and I put literary everything on it - music, photos, videos - yet I have tons of space left.
Also, I am not planing for the iPad to my my main machine - I have a MacBook Pro, which is where I will be storing my biggest files. Also using iCloud

64 GB is more than I actually need. But it's a nice middle ground for how taxing media consumption is today on storage. I could easily Survive on 32 GB if still applicable.
People who should consider anything more than 64GB are those who plan to use their iPad as a computer replacement and also looking to keep using the device for more than 3 years. Just my 2 cents.
It was already quite a lot more expensive than my old 9.7" pro, which in turn was more expensive than my iPad Air. Partly down to U.K. exchange rate crashing during that time, but the end result is the same - I spent more than an upgraded pro 9.7" on a base 10.5" and couldn't justify any more. I', just glad apple increase base storage to 64GB. If they'd have stuck with 32GB I'd have been pretty much forced to to get the next version.
Same reason I didn't get the keyboard - I type a lot but £160 is *insane*
UK prices are horrible at the moment. I might pick up a keyboard in Japan next year - equivalent pricing for the 10.5" is £489 vs here in the U.K. £619
I got the 64gb also for my 10.5. I have plenty of storage left over and saved some money. 256gb would have been too much for me. Plus here in Canada it's $130 plus tax so that's $147 extra. 64gb is still a lot of storage it's not like it's 32gb which just barely makes it.
I bough the 64GB version on the 10.5 yesterday (after having just sold my 9.7 32GB) and am strongly considering taking it back for the 256. As someone else said, $100 for 4x the storage - better to have it and not need it than not have it.
I got the 64GB too. That’s more than I need to save locally. I have the 200GB iCloud storage for everything else.
with the way the filing system will work in IOS 11, I need the same amount of storage as my Mac. It will basically mirror the Mac.
I am only using 30GB of 128GB on my iPhone, but I'm still planning on going for the 256GB option. 64GB might quickly become cramped as technology evolves over the next few years. I'd like to have plenty of space and not worry about running out of space in the future. Getting 4X the space for $100 is worth it to me, although I could probably do fine with 64GB.
Same story here. Although when I got the 128GB Pro last year, I said to myself I'd make real efforts to fill it up. Still 100GB left, ha!
I have currently the 64 GB variant, however I am now sending it back for the 256GB plus cellular. I decided I might as well be safe than sorry later on. Other words, have it and not need it, then need it and not have it.
I was planning to go for the 256gb model but they had no stock and I had to wait a week. So I grabbed the 64gb model and I'm glad I did.
After installing all my apps and music I have 43gb of space left and that is plenty for my use.
I bought the apple pencil with the money I saved on storage.

What do people do to need 256 GB on a mobile device? To store music, most of which they never listen to or only seldom do? Or to store videos, most of which they never watch or seldom do? This is what the cloud is for. Take music and videos away, and what usage needs more than 64GB?
For me, and it will differ for others, I don't need that much storage. I use my iPad for consumption - ebooks, browsing, texting, and doing lightweight email. I don't game, or edit videos, or do spreadsheets or create documents on it. I use my rMBP for those kinds of things.
I have an iPad3 which is now obsolete thanks to Apple. It has 64GB with 44GB free. I got a 10.5 inch IPP to replace it, but not for more storage. I honestly don't understand why 256GB would ever be warranted, much less 512GB. I've had systems with large HDDs, and never used more than a minimal amount of them. I've used Sharepoint or Notes teamrooms or some other networked storage for almost all of my files and data. Local storage was hardly used. Even large application environments booted out of SAN and had very little local storage. The iPad is a personal device, not a corporate client. But the thought is the same, and even more pronounced for personal usage - what is the need for so much local storage? I mean, if you want it, go for it. But what do you need it for?
I tend to think people are pack rats, too. They never garbage collect their unused files, and just let things pile up. How many restore points do PC users have on their systems? I bet almost no one ever cleans out the old ones. And all those moldy install files take up space, too, on Macs as well as PCs.
The new iPad is a wonderful device. IOS still limits it a lot, though, and I don't see IOS11 fixing that, even with all its glitzy new features. But the direction for storage is very clear to me, and that is toward personal cloud space. The vast majority of users will never be out of wifi range, so cloud will always be available to them. Personal devices like iPads are meant to be presentation clients, with enough local storage for transitory needs, and permanent storage will be elsewhere. So how much local storage is really needed for that? I suspect that even the 64GB on my new iPad is overkill.

Very few actually need over 64gb and the vast majority get big hard drive storage cause it makes them feel powerfull and gives them bragging right with the ladies.
I’ve always found 64gb to be ample storage. Really, I’ve found 32 to be enough. With everything stored in the cloud and app offloading in iOS 11, I couldn’t justify more storage.
I got the 64gb. I could not justify the 100 dollars and in all likelihood I wasn't going to use that storage. If doesn't matter if it's quadruple of my 64gb, I don't see spending that much on a feature I don't need
