I use mine 6 to 10 hours a day; almost always with headphones connected. I would say the problem occurs maybe every 4 hours of use on average? Unplugging always fixes it; and then I can reconnect 30 seconds later without problem. The last couple days I have been sitting in the same spot while using it; so pretty controlled environment. I cannot find any particular thing that causes it...seems random.
I don’t think a test over an hour of use would likely show the issue. Not for me at least. You would need to test for many hours to have it happen.
This is all especially frustrating for me as my number 1 complaint with the new Pro is the elimination of the headphone jack. Now it feels like Apple is rubbing salt in the wound by making the USB-C port or dongle buggy.
Just need feedback on the performance of 3rd party cables and adapters.
The video in which the cable-wrapping method was shown concerned a third-party USB-C dongle being used with a MacBook, so no, I don’t think it’s just Apple-branded USB-C accessories that are causing problems.Seconded since need to find out if only Apple's dongles are at fault

On a bit of a sidenote, this was much more difficult than necessary to post. Wifi fickleness strikes again!

3. USB 3.0 interferes with 2.4GHz WiFi and other wireless devices due to the similar frequencies.
4. According to Microsoft, the problem occurs only for the 2.4GHz wireless band, but not for 5GHz. Please set your router as 5GHz to avoid the problem.
Are you all on 2.4GHz or 5GHz?
Are you guys using
802.11ac (5Ghz) here. About 10ft from my AirPort Extreme.
Hello all, just posting to see if anyone else has been experiencing this annoying bug since release.
12.9” WiFi only 64 gb. Set up as new.
iPad will be working great, as advertised. Let it sleep a few minutes then go to use it and it’s unresponsive to the WiFi network. It will show connected but the iPad just won’t do anything.
Safari will just load, YouTube won’t open etc. apps will just loop like it’s going to connect but it won’t.
I had to restart the device every time. Does the trick as the iPad works fine again. Probably happened 3 times in a week. But once yesterday and again this evening.
This time I only put the iPad down a few minutes before waking it up to find it won’t connect to the internet even though it’s on the network.
Just a quick update. Received my 3rd party headphone adapter off Amazon yesterday. Tested it last night and no issues.
This morning had it plugged into my computer speakers sitting on the desk(same room as my router) and lost WiFi connection.
I can almost duplicate the issue every time. So I guess it just is what it is.
Have you tried the tin foil trick and if so, have yo tried it just around the cable or just around the USB C connector? I'm curious where the issue lies.
That sounds like a software bug to me. If it was purely interference, why would it need the iPad to sleep to trigger it? It should occur every time you plug the adapter in.Have not tried the tin foil trick. I just unplug it then plug it back in.
What I have noticed is I won’t actually lose WiFi until I put the iPad to sleep.
I can be using it for whatever, with the adapter in place. I can switch from app to app and browse safari with no drop outs.
When I put the iPad to sleep that’s when I lose connection. Becasue when it wakes the WiFi is always lost.
