Switcheasy claimed they shipped my case buddy, and claimed that they are overwhelmed with orders. Hopefully there will be tracking available later since none was provided.

This is the 2020 case buddy on 2020 iPad? Can you provide photos? Thanks

Any luck?
Found my iPad Pro 11” Coverbuddy.

Pictures with the Magic Keyboard attached.
Sits flat when closed, but the keyboard side does flop open a bit when picked up and held on the spine.
I doubt I’ll leave it on.

Wow, thanks for the photo, doesn't look bad laying flat on the table. The chances of it being on its spine looks to be minimal I would assume? $40 isn't bad price to try this out in hope for something more official to come out while this provides protection to hold you over..

It looks to be 90-95%% compatible from the photos, what number would you give it? Thanks.

I’d worry most about it opening slightly in a bag without gravity to hold the top flap closed, allowing some debris to get in between the keys and the screen. Then pick it up or sqeeze it closed... and *crack*

When held closed, I think there’s more pressure on the screen from the keys.

Also attenuates the magnetic attachment between the rear of the case and the iPad itself (not tons, but some).

I’d give it a C+ to a B- grade.

Shipping email reply. Say it’s been shipped using 4PX. Side note I just got my magic keyboard and I love it. The magnets are strong but when in tablet mode I do not trust my butter fingers.

I have everything ready to test the coverbuddy2020 with magic keyboard. Yet I am not sure when I would be able to receive the ipad.

This is a photo of a 11 inch pro 4th gen with the new coverbody I found from an asian forum. Hope it helps.

Did not aspect the casing to be this thin. Can’t protect from dropping. With his thin and empty, don’t feel like it worth $. Seem like it more easy to crack.

i expected it to be thin from previous reviews of the older model.. my concern is with the compatibility with the iPad magic keyboard. do they work well with each other? Thanks

Take a look at all the above pictures. While it "works", the front keyboard flap doesn't sit closed completely. There's a little open gap. You can close it with a finger, but it'll pop open. Leaves space for debris to enter in a bag or backpack.

Maybe I received an updated version, but I'm seeing no gap between the iPad Pro, Magic Keyboard, and Cover Buddy. 11" Pro, BTW.

I'm quite happy since the pencil is more secure and I feel more comfortable using the iPad in tablet mode with it.

Happy to chime in. The funny thing is, I wish I'd known about Cover Buddy before as it would have been a useful addition to the old keyboard configuration. I'm using the iPad in tablet mode more often, and with greater ease, largely as a part of having the pencil securely attached. As a lefty, this has been a great addition to my iPad use.

I got my MKB and a Coverbuddy for the 12." on Saturday. I'd give it an F, honestly. In addition to all the issues pointed out above, I worry about excess pressure on the hinge. I don't think it's a good or even usable option as it is now. YMMV, of course. The one I bought is going back.

Hopefully it doesn't take forever to arrive
The CoverBuddy is expected to arrive on 4/29 per Amazon. I’ll post my results. I have received my iPad Pro Magic Keyboard (and love it). I have the 12.9”. From these posts it looks like the CoverBuddy causes the case to not fully close. Maybe I’ll get lucky and receive a never version of the CoverBuddy. Seems like Roguefury had a positive experience. Will report back.

@roguefury I'm not sure your photo shows the side that lifts though, going from my experiences with the magic keyboard and coverbuddy. Can you upload a photo that shows it flat with the Apple pencil side on top? This is the side that lifts. The side in your photo is kept flat by the weight of the iPad.

Here’s a pic with the pencil side down:

In both closed positions, there is no gap. I’ve had the Cover Buddy for 3-4 days now, and it seems to perform well.
