I checked their website and they are offering in store pickup for the 12.9" M1 and the Space Grey is in stock. 🤣
UPS delivery by Wednesday, so hopefully we'll get ours early. If they'll leave ZhengZhou that is.

Just checked NFM (just for laughs). Out of stock

But since this guy got one so early, I'm thinking there's going to be more of this.

So lots of third party vendors are getting them (must be if NFM has them ), and it's up to them if they want to thwart Apple, which I imagine they don't, but some places are unawares as to the policies.

He uploaded a YouTube video

Despite the M1 chip I think the major upgrade here is going to be the display. The M1 is great but not sure if there are enough apps to take advantage of the power. Hopefully the display comes to the 11" at the next upgrade cycle.

I also have a 1TB ordered (still can't decide although the 256GB is probably more than enough for me (but 16GB RAM?!)). I have just noticed tonight that the shipping date for that has been brought froward from July to June 14. Could this be a case of people cancelling their 1TB orders?

I ordered the 1TB while I was deciding and thought (and still do (I think?)) if to get that or the 256. If the date gets even closer I might consider the 1TB.... It's £550 more than the 256GB here in the UK, but if I keep for 2 years it doesn't seem that much extra? Still unsure. Any thoughts?
My current 3rd generation iPad Pro has 1 TB. Wanted it so I can download and carry video content. This one has 700 MB so decided to get 2 TB. Forgo cellular as I am always with Wi-Fi 98% Of time. I maybe tethered to my phone twice since I got this pro. Just my use case, everyone has to decide what they do and are willing to spend.

My order which is due to arrive between the 21st and 26th just changed to preparing to ship, but for some reason my bank cancelled the original card that I placed the order with and I just received the new one in the mail today. Apple did the authorisation on the original card (which has since been released back to me), but I can't update the order with the new card details :( (just the expiry date and CVC number has changed)

Anyone know if apple support can update the details in time before they try and debit the now cancelled card? They just closed and I have to wait until morning to try and contact them.

That's not nice. Here in the Netherlands they keep the old CC for a couple of months alive, so existing payments can be processed and cancelled. That was big help in COVID times for e.g. getting a refund from airline tickets.

Apple email received @ 3:30pm on 20 May 2021 - "Shipped: Delivers 21/05/2021 by Standard Shipping". I've ordered 12.9" Wifi 256GB model about 8 minute after the online store opened. Down side of expecting a delivery on Friday is, if there is a glitch, it wouldn't be delivered the next day. 😆

What date does it say for the expected arrival…. Mine is still “Arrives 24/05/2021 - 28/05/2021”
Sorry for the late reply... just noticed your comment. Mine said 21/5/2021 - 27/05/2021. I ordered about 8 min after the online store opened.

I've had two dispatch emails this morning for delivery tomorrow; iPad 12.9 256GB WiFi and new Apple TV. Was surprised about the Apple TV as had a delivery date of 1st June.

Both the iPad Pro and Apple TV have been updated to Shipped and Arrives on 24/05/2021.

I got an confirmation email just 9 minutes into Pre order.

Despite my concerns with my credit card details, my order has just updated to "shipped" to be delivered by 21st May :) Ordered 12.9 128gb wifi in space grey within 10 minutes of pre-orders opening up

So, I’ve been checking UPS … ahem … periodically the last couple of days to see where my IPP was. It left Kentucky yesterday after sitting there for a week, and is scheduled for delivery on 5/21. This morning, I check my email and see a UPS tracking message. “Your order is scheduled for delivery on Saturday 5/22.”

Nooooooooo!

I scroll down and see it’s for a coffee bean order placed a few days ago. Whew.

Note to self: when pre-ordering a new toy, implement an “absolutely no other order shall be placed within two months of an Apple pre-order” rule.

Happy Launch Day.
