I have the Air 4 as well but I'm keeping mine and waiting til next year because we don't know for sure if it'll be released or not. If it is, I'll just trade in the Air 4.

Wishing everyone (especially all the great friends I’ve made on this thread) a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and above all a happier, more prosperous New Year filled with good health; a year that sees the end of COVID-19 for everyone!
Everyone on this thread has a great sense of humor; we’ve managed to snag more than a few laughs (sometimes even laughing at ourselves) through all our frustrations while we waited for our shiny new iPads.

While the seemingly long wait times for our iPP’s to be delivered became a bit frustrating at times, I did enjoy chatting with the other iPP order doldrums folks a few months back. However; the delivery times that we experienced for our iPad Pros this past year still seems way out of wack to me. My wait time back in late summer/early fall was 34 days. Oh well, it was what it was. I am happy to report that this 12.9 iPP with the MK fits my needs quite well and I couldn’t be more happier with it.
As a side note, I bought 2 of the new iPad Airs as Xmas gifts for my kids (actually very young adults). The wait times on those was a mere two weeks.

LOL, I’m from the old school days. We didn’t have a lot of money, and there were five of us kids. My parents would have said “you want an iPad? Get a job!” We were more of the generation where you got more “useful” stuff like socks and underwear and maybe one toy. Ahh, the good(?) old days! 🤪

Thank you. I wish the same for you. Unfortunately, I received word on Christmas Day that my brother was hospitalized in the ICU with COVID. Last night, he was put into a medically induced coma and hooked up to a ventilator. This afternoon, they put him on dialysis. I’m saying a lot of prayers. Please everyone, stay safe out there. This is such an insidious disease!

Thank you. I will. The waiting is so hard. My stomach feels like it goes up to my throat every time my phone rings. It doesn’t help that he is over 500 miles away. It’s thought that he contracted it through his job somehow.

Thank you so much. He is not good. He’s on a ventilator and they put him on dialysis a few days ago. They’re only giving him about a 20% chance. Today the doctor said his prognosis is poor. The good thing is that his condition didn’t get any worse from yesterday to today. I truly appreciate all the prayers. We’re still holding out hope.

Hey there, I stopped into this thread to do an update about my iPad Pro and MK, but wanted to say how sorry I am to hear this distressing news about your brother. I will keep him in my meditations.
So I wanted to update the old gang here that I've jumped off the iPad Pro and MK train this week after a lot of thought. Last spring when I started using them, I never thought I'd go back to a Macbook. I used the iPP + MK as my only machine for three months, and then got a Windows gaming laptop in the fall. This week I traded in the iPP with Apple (for $525) toward the base model M1 MBA. For many reasons I was ready for a Mac laptop again. Being able to run iOS apps (including games) on the MBA is amazing. I'll be selling the MK to BuyBackWorld in the next week.
Speaking of the MK, today I removed the Sopiguard skins and it wasn't a difficult process at all; it just requires patience. There was very little residue and it was only on the edges, which came off easily with an alcohol wipe. If you end up having to remove a skin, the important thing is to take your time. It was worth putting one on initially because it kept the MK fabric in perfect shape, and makes me feel confident selling it in excellent condition.
iPad Pros are amazing and incredibly capable of so many things. It will be fun to see the 2021 version.
