Congrats, Diamond. Delivery only took 2 ulcers and hypertension. Seems like par for the course here on MacRumors. I hope you have a sleepless weekend. 
I just got charged and order now says preparing for shipping with delivery still at August 25-September 1? I assume it will arrive way earlier now?
That's reassuring. The ones I returned were all from Best Buy which must've gotten a bad batch. Figured ordering directly from Apple would be the way to go, and that getting it engraved as an extra step at the factory would hopefully enable more eyes to make sure it is indeed in pristine condition before being boxed up and shipped out.
And keep in mind once your device gets sent to Phobio, there isn't much Apple can do. Phobio is a third-party trade-in "partner".

Did your order include engraving? That's one reason people are charged much earlier than the estimated ship date.
Most likely, but it depends where you're located.
Also, when did you order? I ordered mine on July 22 with a delivery window of August 24-31 and it's still processing (likely due to the fact I got it engraved).
iPad Pro Speakers from 2017 are waaaay worse than the new 2020 ones.

Same day but changed the order to a 12.9 on the 24th. I’m in SoCal so it should be just one or two plane trips away.
Yeah, it really looks like shipping times for the 12.9s are improving. Mine is an 11-inch which seem to take a bit longer, not even factoring in the engraving.
The 12.9” Takes about 20 Days to move to “Preparing To Ship”. The 11” takes about 25 Days to move to “Preparing to Ship”. Engraving seems to add an extra 2-4 days.
On another topic: I don’t really notice the 120Hz Refresh Rate on these new iPad Pros.
Think the times are significantly less now. In @RealSkyDiver's case, it would've only been 14 days for the 12.9.
Which iPad did you have prior to this? Cause I’m upgrading from the very first iPad Pro from 2015, and I decided not to trade it in cause it works perfectly and I really want to do a side by side comparison between the two!

day 9 of waiting for my iPP and school starts on the 17th!! was planning on doing some advance readings for my english class but i dont have the motivation to do so! time is slower than usual for the past week arghhh
What was your order date and configuration? For those of us who’ve been here since early to mid-July, it has taken a month or so from order date to delivery. I’m still waiting for mine. I ordered July 10th, alleged delivery date of August 11th. 😡

estimated delivery date: august 28-sept 4
Same as mine, except in Space Grey. If it actually delivers on the 11th, it will be 32 days from order to delivery for mine. An exercise in patience.
