I’ve had this iPad for over 2 Weeks.

I’m returning it.

It’s battery life is just too good (11+ Hours), it’s Performance is too fast (Rendered a 4K60 Video in less than a minute), and the keyboard is too good to type on (100 wpm).

Too good for me.

I really suck at sarcasm. I can’t portray it through text.

Also, one of my relatives brought their MacBook Pro over from 2016 and the Butterfly Keys on it were ATROCIOUS compared to the Scissor Switches on the New MacBooks and this Magic Keyboard.

the attachment i have for this thread is insane haha i dont think ill be able to leave

So who here is still waiting for their IPP to move from processing? I know many have recently received it or it is already on the way. I am just trying to see who all is still in “processing” besides me?

Been waiting since the 3rd of August for it to change from processing. ETA is between 25th of August and 1st of September!! :)

Hopefully you will see a change soon. Please keep us updated. What configuration did you order?

It depends what configuration you ordered.

The Amount of time it goes to “Preparing to Ship”:

11”: ~25 Days

12.9”: ~20 Days

Engraving adds 3-5 days to that.

After it ships, if you are in the US it will take about 1 Week.
Thank you! I was hoping shipping times were actually sooner than the estimated but apparently they are pretty exact🥺.

Which iPad did you order? And has yours moved from processing yet? :)
I ordered an 11" iPad Pro 256 GB with WiFi and Cellular in space gray. No engraving. Well I went back on the website to check on the status of my order, but it leads me to "Something went wrong. There was a problem with your request. Please try again."

I have the same problem as well, think it's just so many people refreshing the website just like I do in hope of the iPad being shipped faster! I'm pretty sure mine will finally be prepared for shipping tomorrow as it's been 21 days, and it seems like that would be pretty accurate. :) Got the free Earpods and the pen as well!

Just a quick Question: Is it ok for me to keep my iPad Pro plugged in through the Passthrough Charging on my Magic Keyboard?

I don’t want to Degrade the Battery. I think I’ll just unplug it. It’s not getting warm, though. It’s drawing about 12 Watts from my Charger at the passthrough port on the magic keyboard. I am using the 29W Fast Charger. I checked the Wattage using a Current meter.

It seems to be holding steady at 95%.

Any Thoughts?

Also @jungkookhobi Yay! Your iPad is out for Delivery! You’ll love it. I’d recommend getting a case, though. Don’t want any bad things happening to your new Purchase.

Hey @DiamondarBoss
I think it's fine. In fact, the battery charging circut seems to have the same battery saving algorithm as the phones and macs where it won't just charge to 100% every time. It'll keep the charge lower sometimes - although I would prefer it keep it at 80% more than it does.

hi guys my iPad finally arrived! Thought I'd share my unboxing video. it was no fun to check this thread every day and talk about shipping lol.

Excellent unboxing video! Actually, the 11" seems to be the ideal size.....

That's really painful to see. I had a smaller but similar dent out of the box on one of the ones I returned back in May. They probably dropped it at the factory during manufacturing. :(

Here's a pic:

I don't think that's a drop. Looks more like it's slightly tapped something when being moved along the production line. It's far too small to be a drop.

Guys, the more I see the videos of the 11", the more I think I made the wrong choice going for the 12.9.
I'm not 100% on it though.

the 12.9 is fantastic for sitting at the desk and doing photo editing and using it as a second desktop, which would be my 9-5 job.

However, when using it in bed, it's not nice. I would like to read books and do a bit of browsing in bed, but this thing is too big.

I'm torn. I just checked my delivery date, just past the 14 days, so I'm outside the return window. Guess I'm keeping it lol.

I had a Heart Attack this morning.
(Not really)

So I woke up, went to my iPad Pro to check my Email, opened the Magic Keyboard case, and pressed the spacebar.

Nothing.

Usually this would turn on the screen to the lock screen and turn the backlighting of the keyboard on, but no. Nothing.

I then panicked and pressed down the Power button.

Nothing. Keep in mind when I went to bed last night it was at about 50%, and only loses 7-8% per night.

I then plugged it in through the Magic Keyboard. Nothing.

I switched it to the iPad’s plug and pressed down the Power Button. Nothing.

Scared that my 16-Day-Old iPad had already bit the dust, I plugged it into my 29W Charger.

Held Down the Power Button...

Apple Logo.

It was at 43%.

I had no Idea why this happened. Didn’t update software last night, still on 13.6.1

Any Ideas?

@DiamondarBoss
This EXACT same thing happened to me yesterday evening when I put the IPP back onto the MK. It went to sleep after 15mins (timeout) and then 5mins later when I tried waking it up, dead like you described. I did everything you did and yes, long press power button showed apple logo again.

Very weird. But, I've had this maybe twice on my iphone 11 since I've owned it. I'm not too worried about it.
