I live in California as well and still waiting for my order.
Is everyone checking there local stores? Mine said shipping first week of oct. checked this morning and two stores within 25 mins of me had it in stock. I could have picked it up today but was late for dinner. I have an appt tomm afternoon to go grab it.

My Apple Pencil and AirPods Pro already shipped, and it'll be arriving tomorrow.
The iPad is still processing and is estimated to arrive on Sept. 24 - Oct. 1.
The waiting time is torture 😖.

Yes, I actually called the apple store and then apple support on this because it was in stock at a store very close to me. They said I wouldn't be able to get the education discount again if I cancelled the iPP order (which is processing still) and purchased the one in store 🥺🥺

That makes no sense. Surely they made a Mistake. If it’s still in ”Processing”, you should be able to return it and save the Education Discount for something else.
Call again, or make your own thread here on MacRumors about this. It’s outrageous that you wouldn’t be able to have the Education Discount if you bought one in store.
Yes, you can still get your Education discount. You can also talk to Apple Support to help you place the new order and cancel the previous order for the items that are still pending. What I did was place a new order with the education discount, and returned the new AirPods in store since I already received them with my online order. At the store, they processed the AirPods return at the same time I picked up the order.
Yes you're right, I didn't understand them at all! Apple support's reasoning was that I am only allowed one education discount yearly, and I have used that up already 🙃
I guess there is no point anymore since it is now out of stock at all stores around me and my estimated delivery range begins next week.

I don't know why the store manager and apple support were telling me otherwise 🥺 I guess they didn't want to give up their iPad or something. They said I had already used up my education discount by placing the initial order online.

Keep checking. It will likely pop up again. I checked Friday and decided I was going to get it Saturday night, but it was gone. I checked again on Sunday morning and all of sudden it was there and available for pick up.

Hey! I ordered the iPad Pro 12.9" the 3rd of August and have expected delivery between the 25th of August and 1st of September. It's still processing just as yours is I assume, but I'm crossing my fingers for something to happen today!
I ordered an 11" iPad Pro 256 GB with WiFi and Cellular in Space Gray on August 1st and I have the same estimated delivery time as well August 25 - Sept. 1st. It's still processing for me.
Pretty amazing these things are still out of stock / capacity constrained months after the release. I just checked, only a few models are even available in-store here in NYC. Outstanding product.
When people post on here about their iPads for some reason it gets out of processing, now make it happen for me too!!
