iPad shipped, Apple just sent out tracking numbers!

TechDude when is the next flight out of KY to Anchorage? Do you think my iPad is on the flight that is enroute to me now from KY?

I ordered at 5:32am PST on 03/12/2010... my iPad shipped early, but tracking information has been lagging. At one point I had an entry for being in the US, but it has since disappeared.

And the dates don't make sense. But I am hoping for the best. Searching by reference number yields (4) separate entries and (2) different tracking numbers.

The reason the "multiple" packages show up is because the complexity of these shipments, Apple had to update the billing info several times to a mass of shipments - so there are different times for each, which confused the UPS system and it opened a different tracking string under the same tracking number.

And don't track by packagetrackr.com - use iship.com. It offers a HUGE wealth of info.

And the package never "entered the US and then disappeared." That was a customs hold placed on the package that "scanned" in KY, because the headquarters processed the request so it showed as KY.
 
Anyone from UPS-21 have movement besides this?

Im showing my package in transit to Ontario as of 7:34 EST

Which means it should be in Ontario around 8 or 9pm PST which leaves more than enough time for it to get sorted and onto a delivery truck tomorrow morning for the LA/OC/Inland Empire areas

I would assume your package is on the flight to Ontario as I type ;)

'cept that most of them come through Ontario so I would be focusing on that one.

I hope so but I have little faith in these UPS reps because after watching this thread for some time, you never get the same answer from them twice.

TechDude, Not to over burden you, but for going north from WorldPort to Green Bay, Wisconsin, would that go on a plane, or would that have to be trucked? In the past when I order UPS it always seems to go truck, but... I don't really do express much. In either case, any thoughts as to when it'd have to leave Worldport to make it for the morning delivery?

Korea Time Zone

Someone asked earlier... So to let everyone know Korea is on the other side of the time zone. ie. South Korea to Seattle, you arrive 2 hours before you left...
 
I would love to know why they shipped accessories with Fedex, but used UPS for the iPad. I'm one of the people who won't get their iPad till Monday. When I pre-ordered I thought it would be no big deal to get shipment on Saturday. I mean, Fedex delivers on Saturday, and they always use Fedex to ship everything. So imagine my surprise when suddenly they decide to use UPS.

I guess it doesn't really matter, waited this long, two more days won't make much difference.
