iPad shipped, Apple just sent out tracking numbers!

This day is draaaaaaaagging. I still have "THE SERVICE SELECTED IS NOT AVAILABLE TO THE DESTINATION ADDRESS / DOWNGRADED, FORWARDED TO CONSIGNEE, SELECTED SERVICE IS NOT AVAILABLE" as a status on UPS and iShip, though MikeAtUPS assures me on Twitter that I should be getting it today.

The UPS driver wasn't the normal delivery guy, he drove around special today to deliver the Monday ipads in the area. He apologized that it couldn't be delivered on Saturday, but said he still had quite a few to deliver this afternoon. Hang in there, trust me I know it sucks waiting. Now that I have it, it was worth the wait. I will be checking on my buddies here to make sure you get it today! :)
 
It's here! Apparently I'm the only iPad my driver had to deliver because she was all confused about what paperwork I needed to have. I ended up having to sign one of those "I authorize you to leave it at my door" forms even though, you know, I was standing right there. But whatever--anything to get it in my hands! :D

Hahaha. Same threads that existed during WiFi. Apple will make sure you do not get your iPad early. Do not worry. It will be on time.

Don't sweat it. Yours was probably a little ahead of time and apple delayed it so you wouldn't get it early. You'll be fine.
 
You mean the "Clearance Delay"? Sometimes customs wants to take a closer look at what's coming into the country, that's all. They are likely inspecting items to see that they match what is said on the shipping documents.

Customs does not care about Apple's delivery schedule, though if everything is declared right (and it should be) it will clear customs very quickly.
 
My case shows "Clearance Delay" too. I don't think it's a big deal. Probably just Customs B.S. The whole FedEx tracking thing is a frickin' joke anyway. As much time as my package spent just sitting somewhere it could have been here yesterday instead of tomorrow when it is supposed to show. FedEx doesn't seem to update their tracking very often.

Yeah some of the people in hear are getting a little nuts with this whole thing. My case was heald up, I was just letting you know in the event this was part of a larger issue.

Yeah, my case is also stuck in TN. The funny thing is my buddy who ordered his case before me says his is stuck in Honk Kong. Been there for days! LOL. I love it.
