Yes, but they said they were working on a trackpad version. That was the issue. Now they scrapped it?

Just read this somewhere. Now there's the Doqo to bug Brydge (Others will soon join in :D).

Anyway, has anyone gotten tap-to-click working with any trackpad? The Apple trackpad 2 doesn't support it, with any version of IOS (I don't think)

But what still really gets me, are the people who continue to say there shouldn't really be mouse support. The mind boggles :D But people are funny. They said that about cars initially. They insisted that horses were better (Maybe they are right?)

Update: Trackpad tap-to-click works with non-apple trackpads. Unfortunately, the very nice Apple touchpad doesn't support this (or other things like scroll). And to top it off, they now are preventing it's BT connection (this is not a bug either, there's a note right in the setting area, saying that it will not work).

They say they're working on it and they've initiated a lawsuit against Libra for patent infringement on the design of the connection to the iPad. I find that difficult to understand as Apple created the Smart Connector and you have to adhere to their standard for your product to work - similar devices will use similar connections.

Except Brydge doesn't have the trackpad or peripheral support - it's simply a keyboard.

Right, not clones. But the Libra originally had the hinge mechanism that resembled the Brydge, which since has been changed on the Libra. I think i'll wait until they are all released and we get some feedback. Too murky as it is.

It's a good idea.

I bought a trackpad keyboard yesterday that actually is pretty good. Cheap at around $20 ish. Link: This and a Zugu Muse case, and it seems to be a good setup. I like it this way. This is the TabletPC setup that's been around for decades, and they (MS,etc) have had great success with that arrangement. Apple is late to the game.

I’ve finally got my M720 mouse to work!

Just wondering if we’re able to invert the mouse scrolling directions?

Also, i’d love to assign Back/Forward commands to the 4th & 5th mouse buttons (especially for Browser use). Is this possible?

Oh & the Hot Corners look to be a handy feature too, but I wish the Assistive Touch hover button could be disabled whilst the Dwell Control is enabled.

I have been looking for a trackpad keyboard like that! It works good with the iPad?

They're not talking about the Smart Connector. Neither keyboard uses it - they connect by bluetooth.

The connections in question are the physical ones which hold the ipad in place and function as hinges.

Yes. It's a windows keyboard, and like I said, lots of apps don't work with these keyboards. But i'm not sure what that is. I could be this 13.3 update, which has done some strange things, or it could just be the apps themselves. My Apple Magic keyboard doesn't work with the apps i'm talking about, so.... But I think this keyboard works as good as any, but I can't be certain. The trackpad works fine. It's not quite as smooth as the Apple trackpad, but the Apple trackpad doesn't work correctly with the iPad. Kind of hard to believe the Apple one doesn't work right. Wtf.

Get it. It's cheap for what it is. It's a good buy. If it's Amazon, returns are easy anyway.

I hope that someone will make a keyboard that uses the smart connector, but also has a bluetooth trackpad built in.

Yeah, I saw something that made me think the Libra was using the connector but it's clear they're using Bluetooth. It would be interesting to see the performance with Bluetooth if you were trying to stream hi-res HDMI and access external storage at the same time.

So far I'm pretty impressed how good mouse and keyboard already work.

But i noticed that the password auto fill does not work in Safari when assistive touch is activated. Or did i miss something here?

Just a Heads up about Libra (and perhaps Doqo). Libra is almost certainly a failed Kickstarter. They were in, or were threatened, with litigation from Brydge, but then they went dark after some rather murky promises. The comments on kickstarter suggest that since Doqo showed up right after Libra vanished (with about $300K-US), that perhaps it should be avoided also, and even may be the same people starting over (and richer by $300K-US)

Not to say they wouldn't have delivered if Brydge didn't intervene, but there you have it. Safest to wait for Brydge to come up with something. They said they are, and even gave some details and a name (prototype also) in Oct.

I actually might have pledged for Libra on Indiegogo today, as that site looks like everything is smooth sailing. But if you go to Kickstarter, things change. It's sad, as you get all these people demanding refunds. Good luck with that. People loose money on these crowdfunding sites, and it's hard to tell what's a scam, or just doomed.
