iPhone 11 Pro - AirPods issue

They're on 2C54 now and still pop and crackle. ****ing pieces of ****. I'm throwing them in the garbage, time to find something else.
My situation got worse with 13.3. Now Bluetooth in general goes dark for 1 second in my car. Also when listening to music now my AirPods crackle. Originally it was just when making calls with AirPods. Awful. Now I don’t know if this iPhone is failing (hardware) or software up made it worse.
Hey OP. Did you mention you even bought a new iPhone or exchanged it for same 11 Pro Model and same issue? I’m debating to buy another 11 Pro to see if same issue but don’t want to go through hassle.
Yep. Tried several 11 pros at the apple store. Only the 11 pro does it. Multiple AirPods, AirPods pro, Powerbeats pro, etc all exhibit the same issue. The same pods on iPhone X, 8, etc are fine. Several apple employees heard it and the issue was confirmed by the engineering team after extensive logs were sent to them. Those guys eventually went dark on me and haven’t provided any eta for a fix. I tossed my AirPods 2 in the trash since there is no fix in sight. Eventually I’m going to take my 11 pro to the range and use it for target practice. I hate this phone.
I have the exact same issue here. Original AirPods worked fine with Xs. Upgraded to 11 Pro Max and had issues, got Apple to trade in for another 11 Pro Max...same issue. Then decided to go for 11 Pro and "save money" in hopes it would be fixed, but same issue with any Bluetooth device on phone calls only. Any other audio streaming is fine.
OP has Apple come back to you since December with a fix?
The only thing I can think of is that I have always restored from a backup from a previous version and not from a brand new iPhone. Perhaps that could be the problem and I'll try a full reset with no restore tonight and will post back.

Nope, I threw my AirPods in the garbage. Also, I had tried new phones (11 pro) without restoring from a backup, etc. so if you’re having the same issue I doubt that will solve yours. Other Bluetooth devices work fine for me.
I just wanted to check in. Same identical issue nothing has changed for me. Based off of the forum everyone has tried to eliminate all possibilities therefore I’m not bothering doing any returns or AppleCare warranty replacements. I also replaced SIM. Nothing works. Best iPhone. Best AirPods. Quality and experience awful.
Hi there, I thought I was crazy and finally found your post. I have the exact same issue... got 11 pro on dec 5th and started my weekly trips to Genius Bar + phone support. They changed my AirPods pro and the phone 2 days ago...but still...after minutes in a phone call (maybe 2 maybe 50) I hear nothing and nobody hears me (cracks, static etc). never had this with XS max. Music is fine, they work fine with iPad and Mac. I am out of solutions....
Hi There...any updates? My situation is still the same. Randomly able to complete a phone call with no issues...do we need to get rid of this iphone 11 pro??
No updates. I threw the AirPods in the garbage. No intentions of buying another set.
