That was maddening. The app just would not place the order, The website kept showin "Almost there"
FINALLY got through the website on my iMac. (Then had to remove 2 extra phones from my "Bag.")
8:14am order, delivery next Fri. (eye roll!) Glad thats done though.
I ran into the same issue. I ended up using the app on another device. Weird how it happens.
Finally was able to place my order. 12 pro max pacific blue 128GB. Opted for instore pickup because my my Apple Watch series t didn’t get delivered until 9:30pm . So I won’t be doing that again. Plus I have my 11 to trade in anyways
In Germany the App was online at 14:05, while the website took until 14:20 to go online. I ordered the 12 Pro Max 128 GB Graphit on the App! The dates have slipped to 24 Nov - 1 Dec. already for the graphit colour with 128 GB. That's crazy!
Kept getting that, My fear is "Did just place 20 orders? and this app is telling me I didn't??" (No emails, thank God.)
The website FINALLY loaded at 8:11am, got the order through.
Always had much better luck with the Apple Store app, not this time.
I did that a couple of times didn't help but now I did get through and ordered

I couldn't decide between Gold & Pacific Blue but then towards the end decided to go for Blue, there will be a Gold next year as well, something you cant say about the Pacific Blue though. I also bought AppleCare for less headaches and drama, never had it before on any Apple product I have owned so far.
Well, even though my current Xs Max serves me very well, it's time for a new toy. 😈

I preordered after a few minutes of struggling to get the app to open. This is the first time I ever didn’t get an 8am in store pick up time slot. Just checked again and my stores time slots are full for the 13th and most of the 14th. Not sure if slots are more limited or if they’re just going fast this year.
How does the in store pick up work anyways? This is my first year doing it . I have an 8:15 slot. Do I have to show up like an hour early because the lines will be long ? Or do I show up right at 8:15?
Yeah, that was my fear about in-store pickup. With this COVID, The Apple Store is brutally strict with reservations, just going inside is not possible without a reservation.
My thought is, I might not even get inside to trade in XS Max until 14, 15?? I'll get the phone in my hand ASAP, make the reservation for Apple to trade in iphone after. I apparently have "14 days" to do that, so I should be ok.

Looking at delivery dates as of 9AM, still remains at Nov. 13 pick up / delivery. (Both Blue and Graphite)
Thought that may have been pushed to 2 weeks already.
So my slight panic 1 hour ago was not necessary. 😆

I hope the stock in Switzerland is good and I wont have to wait til after the 13th for my new iPhone to arrive. Not that I am in a rush but the sooner the better

Apple store Germany here. iPhone pro max 256gb graphite. Order time 2:39pm Delivery estimated 24th November-December 1st. Not sure why. Apple store wouldn't load on time.
Crazy ride with Apple this morning, but I was able to get my Pacific Blue 12 Pro Max for launch day! YES!!
