I haven’t even seen them in person yet! I wasnt even going to try an Apple store, so I went to a best buy on launch day unfortunately they didn’t have the phones set up yet
Got on the Verizon website at like 7:02 am this morning (I am in CST)....had my confirmation email in my inbox by 7:04 am. Went so fast and so smooth I feel like I did something wrong or it didn't actually go through...I've checked it like 5 times LOL! Ordered the iPhone 12 PM in Blue, 256 GB. Finally a color I'm excited about outside of grey, silver and gold so had to go blue!
I went on launch day at Best Buy, ATT..only had the Gold 12 Pro, and bright blue iPhones on display. Saw them in person at Apple LAST week, having to make an appointment and choosing "accessories" to get a same day access (Choosing "iPhone" in the Apple Store app, Id have to wait 3 days) Anyway..both looked great and still couldn't decide.
Even a few days I went back to Best Buy, Verizon...still the same Gold, bright blue display models.
But after looking at so many videos, photos. I decided Graphite is just me. Plus it will be in a case..hate to do that with this model, but I've never went case less since my 2007 iPhone. And if I drop this bare 12 ProMax, that steel siding will take a gut wrenching dent, hit, scratch or worse I fear.
That and a "Wed. Nov 11 Delivery??"

$1079 for the 256GB phone. (not $1199) Is this for the IUP program, I'm not familiar with that...just wondering.

I am going to use my new iPhone 12 Pro Max naked, just like every other phone I have owned. But this time I am going to have AppleCare. I was really struggling between Gold and Pacific Blue and at the last moment before the pre-order went live I have made the decision to go Pacific Blue, mostly because it will be a non-returning colour, Gold will be a colour option for next year's iPhone, that is pretty much a given.
I ordered through the military site. 10% discount on the iPhone and AppleCare as well. Everything is typically 10% off there.
I also kept getting that, and worrying if I have 100 phones on the way, wasn’t able to place the order until 16 past... Graphite 256 with Apple Care. The App doesn’t show an estimate for the delivery yet
Yeah the multiple order placing panic was real.
Mine finally showed up in the Apple Store app, this seems to be very slow on my end today. Totally shut it down and open it again, see what happens. The order / delivery time showed up immediately via desktop.

I’ve never tried it for the iPhone release, but does it work the same if you are on the IUP? If so, I’ll definitely take advantage of the discount for next year!
I don't know about IUP, but the discount was only applied to the SIM-free version, not the retail carrier versions or if you chose any of the payment plan options.

I preordered the 12 Pro Max Pacific Blue in 512gb and set to pick it up in store between 415-430 after work on Friday! Cannot wait!
I'm disappointed that when I search for my order on UPS.com by reference the details are hidden. I used to be able to get my tracking number early this way. Oh well. Should be here by Friday.
I'm using the UPS app with a UPS choice account and it does show up for 11/13 delivery w/tracking.

I read somewhere that Apple has an agreement with UPS to not deliver early even if the tracking says otherwise. No idea if that's true but wouldn't doubt it.
