I picked up the iPhone 12 Pro yesterday, and I can't get wireless charging to work properly. I have two Qi charging pads, both from different manufactures, and the 12 pro will only charge from them if it's been freshly rebooted. If I take the phone off the pad, and then place it back on the pad, it will not charge again unless I reboot the phone. The pads charge my Xs and my Galaxy S9, so they're not the problem. Apple support was completely unhelpful. Anybody else having issues with wireless charging on the 12 pro?

Same issue here, although sometimes it works consistently for a few hours but then stops working altogether and only a fresh reboot will solve the problem.

I did a full erase of the phone and even before I had restored anything, while the phone was setting up siri, it stopped charging wirelessly. Makes me think it's not my software causing the issue.

I am having the same issue on my Xiaomi Qi chargers and the iPhone 12 pro. My workaround today has been to unplug the Qi charger for a few seconds and plug it back in, which seems to work at least temporarily.

Its weird, I have my old iPhone XR still. After the charger stops working on my 12 I swap the 10R on to the Qi pad, but the 10R also fails to charge. Its like the communication between the 12 and the pad results in the Qi pad getting bricked. So weird.

Good to know that a full wipe doesn't fix it. I was about to try that next.

I have the anker power wave and when I put the 12 pro on it, it starts charging for 3-4 seconds and then stops. Works perfectly with my xs

My 12 Pro is taking a charge on my Qi chargers but I'm seeing really distracting scanlines whenever it is charging. I feel like I'm looking at my CRT monitor from 2001. My XR and XS max don't have this problem. I'd bet that the magnets are interfering. Super genius idea to put magnets between electromagnetic coils.

I have tired charging 2 different iPhone 12 Pro's on both the new Nomad Pro wireless charger and various other Qi wireless chargers and there is definitely a problem the charging is intermittent and starts a stops. The charging light on all wireless chargers come on for a few seconds to show its charging then goes off. The iPhone sometimes shows the charging icon and this goes on and off. Very strange but is a big issue for third party wireless charger makers as they will be receiving complaints about a faulty product whereas it appears that the iPhone 12 is actually the issue as all previous iPhone versions work with these chargers. I don't know if it's the magnet that is contributory to the issue or what but it needs addressing asap.

I wonder how universal this problem is? Either it's universal and just few iphone 12 pro owners have picked it up which seems unlikely given we'd be seeing more complaints or it's a specific hardware issue on a few of these phones? My wife has a regular 12 which I assume has a similar magnet and coil structure and it works just fine.

Me and my wife have the anker power wave she has the black I have the white. My phone just won’t work on my white one but works fine on her black one. I contacted anker who was useless and said both are not compatible

Interesting as I have tried two differnt 12 pro’s and both have the same issue. The only third party I have found to work perfectly so far is the Satechi Quatro power bank. The Land rover wireless charger also has the same intermitent issues too.

This is a very interesting thread, and may be also the issue some are having with the MagSafe. Hopefully it's just a software issue?

Having the same issue with regular iPhone 12 6.1"... following thread for updates. Will wireless charge for a few seconds and then kicks off. Restarting does not help, and the wireless charger (Mophie) worked perfect before I upgraded Friday.

Same exact thing is happening to me with my iphone 12 pro. i had to restart my iphone 11 to get it to wirelessly charge again. so weird. lets hope it is a simple software issue that gets updated soon.

I have a BMW X7 and I have the same problem with my iPhone 12. I had the iPhone 11 Pro Max and it worked fine. Now it will start charging then stop.

I have two identical wireless chargers. Both of them charge my old 8+ and my friends 8 with no problems. I’m getting a third one from a different company tomorrow to test. When I put my 12 pro on it charges for 2 seconds and then stops. Restarting the phone does not fix it. I get the full 15w charging with MagSafe, no issues there. I spoke to Apple and they said because MagSafe works they don’t think the phone is defective. I really hope this can be fixed with a software update.

I am having the same issue on my Ravpower chargers and the iPhone 12. It worked on Friday but since yesterday it doesn't work.

Same issue I have an iPhone 12 pro and the car charging pad works for a minute then stops. My iPhone 11 Pro worked fine. I think it’s mag safe maybe ? Also it’s a big camera bump so this phone doesn’t lie flat maybe the gap messes it up. My bedside stand up charger works fine because maybe the top camera section has no back so leans flat on charger. . Praying software issue

I get the same issue in my 2019 Landrover discovery sport, wireless charging worked fine in the car with my previous iPhone but not the iPhone 12 ☹️

Same problem here following for any updates. I thought it was because i am in the beta software but guess not.
