I just picked up an iPhone 12. I upgraded from an XS. I bought a Choetech QI wireless charger back in 2018 that worked great with my XS. It does not work on the 12. When I put the phone on the mat it will make the noise like it is charging and will show for a few seconds that it is charging, but the mat starts blinking meaning it isn't charging.

I hope they fix this soon as I really don't want to have to buy another wireless charger and I don't want to go back to having to plug it in every night (first world problems lol).

Edited to add I updated to 14.3 before I set up my phone and I have no case. It still doesn't work.
I use a Choetech dual Qi charge mat and it works perfect with the 12 Pro and XS Max that I charge simultaneously.

wireless charging is terrible on iphone 12pro max I have a number wireless chargers that work with all other iphones XR and XSMAX however refuse to work with 12ProMax and surprise surprise apple bring out their own magsafe charger! it seems the 12s wireless charging range has been reduced dramatically and that there is a smaller sweet spot. i am a very good apple customer owning a macbook pro, every iphone since launch, apple watch and airpods. if this is not resolved in software then i will be switching from Apple. its quite obvious this has happened at the time of launch of the magsafe all rings of similarity to the removal of the headphone jack then the launch of airpods.,... not a happy customer and this needs to be resolved! Come on apple!!! listen to your customers!!

Ok rebooting and charge with the optimization turned of back at 100 percent after two hours on apple’s magsafe puck. Now to see how it behaves over next several days. Here is my 24 hrs battery and you can see the phone knew it was on charger just didn’t charge

My mom has a Nillken charger she got off Amazon. I borrowed it to see if the iPhone 12 would work on it. So far so good. But the Choetech one I had it wouldn't work.

Wireless charging still not working in my BMW X7. I’ve taken it to the dealer and they say it’s the phone. I have to agree with them because my iPhone X never had an issue....I wish Apple would offer a model without MagSafe. I’m convinced MagSafe is causing all these aforementioned issues.
