I have the same issue for iPhone 12 pro max charging for 2 days and after that not working anymore

Having charging issues with my iPhone 12 Pro as well - using a Mophie wireless charging stand (worked fine with my X). Place phone on stand, it starts to charge but then after several minutes it stops charging and stand just blinks. Frustrating. Did phone shutdown, hard reset and still having issues. Hopefully Apple resolves this.

Hah. Well I did what the video said. Lowered it on to the charger very slowly and aligned, it worked. No other changes. It's conclusively the magnet interference mentioned earlier. Takes the ease and usefulness of the wireless charging to a net negative value. But I don't think I will be needing a replacement after all.

iPhone 12 Pro Max - Apple leather MagSafe case - Belkin Boost up stand from Apple Store -
Won’t charge past 95% and one night 34% and didn’t charge at all. Removing the case and its ok (magnets in case)
Same set up but with a new Pitaka MagEZ case - same issues. The case magnets are enough to stop the Qi charging at 95%, then it pulses the charging on and off every 40 mins for 2 mins charging, then turns off again. (Magnets in the case)
If I place a naked 12 Pro Max on the Qi stand, it charges properly and fine and I wake up with it at 100% without fail.
So this is a MagSafe issue with any case (Apple’s own included) and Qi charging. Ergo this is an Apple fail as far as I’m concerned. There are far too many issues across the world with the 12’s for it to be anything other than a massive oversight on their part. They want us all using MagSafe. Which incidentally heats up the iPhone a lot and will kill the battery life quicker than anything else. Heat is a massive battery health killer. So well done Apple for messing this up.
Now we’ve all got Qi charging issues thanks to you.
And before you say it, I’m not going to keep rebooting my iPhone. I’m going to dig out the Apple stand, a 5W plug and the Lightning cable and charge it that way. Proper Old Skool charging! lol.
ALSO, when fitting the Apple leather case, I no longer get any MagSafe animation at all, EVER. It just does not work. After force restarting and rebooting my iPhone, it still doesn’t work. It is b0rked. I even wasted cash on a MagSafe charger so I could test them all out!! What an idiot I am. It works btw.

I'm having sort of a similar issue, but with those USB cables with removable magnetic tips.

So I have maybe 10 of these cables around my house and car. I have the magnetic lightning tips on all of my Apple stuff and magnetic USB-C and micro-USB tips on all of my other gadgets.

Once in awhile when I attach the cable to the Lightning tip plugged into my 12PM, it won't charge. I have to remove the tip from the 12PM and reinsert it or restart the 12PM for charging to start.

This happens with any of the 10 cables I try and with each of the Lightning tips I have and it happens with another 12PM we have.

My Samsung fast charger from Amazon works fine with my 12P, even with the Spigen case on. Use it every night, full charge by morning unless cat moves it!
And the OtterBox Defender defends the 12 Pro Max from the Apple MagSafe puck. *shrug* The Belkin one works somehow...

BUT the Apple MagSafe puck does charge the 11 Pro Max with an OtterBox Defender case. Weird. They must be doing something different with the 12 Pro Max Defender cases. *shrug* (The 'sweet spot' seems smaller to get it to charge.)

has anyone tired their non-working wireless charger with the new 14.3 RC release that came out today?

Just started getting this issue with a 12 Pro Max after 2 weeks of it working fine. Shutting it off and then back on seems to fix.

Has anyone had success with the Nomad Charging Station pro's new v1.1 firmware? Charging seems to be slightly better in terms of being able to work at all, but speeds seem very slow.

Well, the 14.3 did nothing for the In-Car charging in my Polestar 2. I guess I will try to exchange the phone but I assume it's simply a bad design by Apple.

14.3 still seems to have an issue with the wireless charging for me. After a few pick-up-put-back onto the charger, it stops charging again, until i cycle the 12 Pro off and on.

I just got my 12 Pro yesterday, updated the firmware to iOS 14.3, and it won’t work on the upright charging stand on my UbioLabs 3-in-1 charging station. If I use the flat-down side charger it works fine. My X charges as it should on the stand. I hope that this is a firmware issue that can be fixed, but I suspect the MagSafe is the culprit here.

EDIT: In Settings, under Battery Health, I turned-off the Optimized Battery Charging. Got it to work on the upright charging stand... Briefly. I took it off and put back on and the orange error light went blinking again. So it most likely is a firmware issue. Anyone still having issues might want to turn-off the optimized battery charging feature and see if that may solve it.

Well Polestar is pretty clear on their FAQ:

"We are aware of this issue. We understand that Apple has released the iPhone 12 with a non-standard wireless charging component that prevents it from charging on standard wireless chargers.
This problem is being experienced by other car companies in other cars as well. Our engineers are working hard and we hope to implement a solution during the first quarter of 2021"

Adding my voice here! I know Apple released 14.3 with some supposed fixes for this, but it didn't fix it for me. My iPhone 12 Pro used to charge completely on my non-Apple wireless charger, but now it charges for only about a minute before stopping. However, I've tried older iPhone models and a couple Android models and they all seem to charge fine. Only my iPhone 12 Pro won't keep charging.

I am having the same issue with my iPhone 12 Pro Max. Wireless charger works fine, then randomly stops working. I have 2 chargers, one a stand up charger and one flat. The charging issue happens on both, but is fixed with a restart.

This happens every couple of days.

I’ve had nothing but problems with wireless charging with the iPhone 12 Pro. The Samsung fast charger I’ve used with the Galaxy S8+, iPhone X, XS Max and 11 Pro without issues would not work with the 12 Pro. I tried it with multiple cases and without cases, purchased 4 different Qi wireless chargers, nothing worked. I had my device exchanged twice. This current device seems to work ok, but it’s much more temperamental than the other phones.

Side note: I’m using a UAG Monarch case with the 12 Pro, the same case I’ve used with all of the other phones listed above. I’ve never had an issue using this case with ANY Qi wireless charger. With the 12 Pro UAG Monarch case, the only wireless charger that will work is the Anker fast charging pad. Nothing from Samsung, Mophie, Belkin or Tylt works. The case looks the same as previous designs (different than the 11 Pro’s, though). I really think it has something to do with the internal design/magnets of the iPhone 12 models.

I just picked up an iPhone 12. I upgraded from an XS. I bought a Choetech QI wireless charger back in 2018 that worked great with my XS. It does not work on the 12. When I put the phone on the mat it will make the noise like it is charging and will show for a few seconds that it is charging, but the mat starts blinking meaning it isn't charging.

I hope they fix this soon as I really don't want to have to buy another wireless charger and I don't want to go back to having to plug it in every night (first world problems lol).

Edited to add I updated to 14.3 before I set up my phone and I have no case. It still doesn't work.

Late to the party, but I have the same issue now. iP12 had been wireless charging without problem sinceI first got it a month ago, then this week it just stopped. Force restart brought it back to life, it's OK for a bit, the stops again.

Well I had the new apple MagSafe puck as soon as possible and until today no problems But I experienced last night the issue others are talking about. I put back on charger and although said charging nothing happened and the puck was warm after 5 minutes (never noticed before). Rebooting and leaving it on and it now is charging something is weird with MagSafe as others are noting even with apples charger. Hmmmmm This is first time will see how it behaves this week.

Same issue here iPhone 12 Pro with MagSafe charger
Mine worked fine with the old wireless samsung but I got one of the apple MagSafe pucks. It worked fine for month and a half but today I noticed that it while marking it was on charger all night (in battery settings window) had not charged at all. I put on puck nothing seemed to happen other than it was aware of the charger. Did the reboot because that sometimes fixes accumulating bugs in iOS and charging is working. Also turned off the stupid monitoring software that slows down charging and the battery is almost full (was at 55 percent after not charging all night) it now is at 90 percent plus with the battery history software off. Time will tell if I am now seeing same issue as last page of this thread is noticing more apple MagSafe pucks with the issue. I do have a apple clear MagSafe case on it as well.
