Good lord, I hopped back into an iPhone 13 mini the other day from iPhone 16 plus for a couple months (and iPhone13 mini for random iPod touch equivalent fiddling on wifi during that period), and was before that on 13 mini for a month before a long stretch of being on 14PM.. and I'm by no means getting rid of my 16+ either or not going to hop back into it at some point, perhaps even soon.

But I have resisted the temptation to hop back into iPhone 16 plus today service wise, it just feels so right to stay put on this tiny beast.

such a frigging cool phone. Even cooler when you step away for a little bit.

It is a marvel. Tiny beast, maybe… not as tiny as some of the phones mentioned in this thread.

Yesterday, by pure coincidence, we put my wife’s regular 13, my 13 mini and an old 4S next to each other. The 13 mini appears like the perfect size…you also scratch your head how people can use phones larger than the 13. This is what the iPad Mini is for.

Will keep on using mine and buying (very thin) protective cases to keep using it as my main phone. It does everything I need perfectly with multiple SIMs, etc. …gets every job done with ease.

Yes I also wouldnt want a thinner phone, because then it would just be too thin. Even now I love my bumper case so I can grip it just a bit easier. Although it will need a battery replacement next year... Starting to need a bit too much charging during the day ( a couple of 20 - 50% top offs) .

But loved both (?) minis. I hope mine lasts a long time. Maybe the new SE will be a similar size or Apple comes out with a durable foldable.

I predict, though the Plus phones won't ever have the same level of a cult like following of mini due to larger phones being prevalent everywhere (platform agnostically speaking), and Plus effectively replacing mini line and people always being bitter about that (but it's Apple you should be upset with , not the replaced product line IMO which you can opt out of buying) and Pro Max phones very much continuing to be a thing that is 'close enough' for most people or people who are non-Pro non-starters, no exceptions but...

that when iPhone 17 'Air (Plus replacement)' arrives, and the honeymoon novelty phase wears off people will be clamoring for a Plus equivalent return:
two cameras,
sensibly thicker body to accommodate battery life while still being pretty light overall (same weight as iPhone 16 Pro)
maybe more fun colors or something retrospectively since the regular colors are more fun than years past overall, even with some contention there
and 60hz which while its not as ideal visually as 120 has its battery life benefits

when the razor thin, single camera, Apple prototype-y cell modem, with razor thin battery life pumping out 120 drops.

I'm positive there will be some 1st gen MacBook Air or 1st gen 12-inch MacBook level concessions to factor in to getting shiny new thing that is supposed to pump some new enthusiasm into iPhone releases.

Plus I don't see the claim of thinner if excluding the protruding camera lenses from the measurement. I don't see an upside to thinner than the OGSE but I do see an upside to no camera bumps to get snagged on things.

Yeah, I agree

Talking about how thin it is at one end, while it still has a massive camera wart on the other end... just seems to negate the whole "look at how thin it is!*" thing
