True black color would be nice. I still very much love the 7 Plus I've got in jet black. Just put glass around it and a good non shiny dark metal siding. It would look amazing in my opinion.
 
Full features even on non-max version. Keep face-id, keep ports - eliminate the "easy" screen shots that cause non-wanted screen shots at least 1 per day
ability to choose dark mode only for certain apps, ability to only do screen rotate for certain apps - some of these may be software but...
 
I’m not planning on upgrading to the 13 but I’m hoping these features will be at least on the 14:

ProMotion display
Smaller notch (don’t think they’re going to get rid of it completely)
Bigger battery
Would love to see Touch ID under the screen as well.

No notch and USB-C would make me at least consider switching back. :)
That and ProMotion could tip the scales.
 
Bigger battery, 12 Pro is garbage
USB C but they won't, they want you to buy MagSafe crap for port less iPhone.

I’d like some brighter bolder colour choices, more like when the Xʀ was released. Oh and a better battery for the mini... that’ll do me! I don’t ask for much haha
 
I think it would be neat to see a super amoled screen like Samsung has and a pen like the Note 20 ultra has.

- better use of the big display on the Pro Max

Software side; Multitasking 2 windows at least
toggle in camera app to turn off night mode and have it stay off
removal of quicktake video and bring back burst mode to that
actual real life live wallpapers ie matrix rain or falling leaves etc Home Screen
removing an iMessage after it’s been sent in 10 minute time frame like FB
a way to show all your downloaded Apple Music subscription songs and buy them
More animated/ live app icons like calendar and clock Home Screen
Calaculator/weather app and Xcode on the iPad

Using an 11 Pro Max here to replace a damaged XS Max. I'd like to see a larger mAh, but with refinements to 2021's A15 SOC, and using Qualcomm's successor to the X55 used in the current 12, we might not need a larger capacity battery. Qualcomm's X60 is built on a 5nm process unlike the 7nm process the current X55 is being built on. This alone should result it improved power efficiency. Combine that with an even more power efficient Apple A15, and Apple might leave the battery capacity alone, although it would be nice to see that increased.

I'd personally like to see the following
120Hz (spoiled by my iPad Pro)
USB-C (wishful thinking, extremely unlikely.. they will probably remove the lightning connector all together)
Better camera for super close ups.

I only think 120Hz is likely. The rest is wishful thinking.
