That is interesting, I was meaning to jump onto the IUP, but feared the SIM slot would be locked to a carrier.
When you are on iUP, technically the phone is unlocked, it’s not tied to a carrier as you are just financing the phone not through the carrier, but through citizens one. This has been the case since day 1 when it started.

Im definitely getting the 14 Pro Max with the biggest storage IF i close a huge deal(im a property agent).

But ill skip if i dont close a huge deal. Rather spend my money on my son's toys xD

I have a 12 Pro Max, and thinking in new 14 Max, no pro.

but I don't know how it will differ from the 13 pro max

The reason I'm leaving the 12 pro max is because of poor battery health in just a year

I thought it was carrier locked as normally I'd assume financed phone = locked SIM.

That’s only if you buy a phone through a carrier. The iUP is a payment plan from Apple so it’s up to you which carrier you go with. It’s an expensive way of financing a phone IMO as you pay £60-£80 a month for the phone and then have to pay additionally for a data plan on top.

I went from Iphone X to 13 pro max, my next Iphone will be either Iphone 15 or when ever the foldable phone comes in

Now I have a iPhone 11 Pro Max. I originally purchased an iPhone 11 that I was already happy with (regret returning) but then Apple had to inject the plug and let everybody know the 11 Pro Max battery life and HOW AMAZING IT IS, so I felt bad and purchased the iPhone 11 Pro Max a couple months later. I will be going with the iPhone 14 this year or whichever the middle featured iPhone will be because I now know that investing in 'Pro' performance iPhones are not only hefty on price but way too ahead of my iPhone needs- I mean, I had to skip out on several years just cause I knew my phone was still too powerful to upgrade.

- Psssh, I could be lying (to You, and to myself) and I might just upgrade to the iPhone 14 Pro Max, GO APPLE! lol
