iPhone 14 pro screen unresponsive at times.

It’s a pain in the backside! & it’s missing when you’re putting a full stop sometimes & apostrophes etc too & typing completely different words sometimes! It makes you not want tk use the phone sometimes I think?
Really irritating. I'm hearing reports that 16.2 beta 3 fixes lag. maybe this is fixed too.
I'm guessing my issues are the same as yours. We can only hope that 16.2 helps because thus far nothing has.
Same problem here( 14 pro max on 16.1.1).I noticed that it happens only when i take the phone out of my pocket and accidentaly swipe up with my finger when i put the hand in the pocket to grab the phone.

Please someone help me. I have had my iPhone since Oct 13 th 2022 14 Pro Max , I trade my 13 pro max ,which now I kind of regret it cause. The main bug when I do more than one thing with iPhone home bar at the bottom freezes , I can't get out of where I am as I normally swipe up. Why is it freezing on me I have to hit the lock screen button come back in and then it works again. This has been happen in all apps mainly Spotify, iMessage , etc. I have to hit that right lock screen button to make it work again. Other issues I am having it when I connect my iPod pro 2 , if I doing anything on my phone else beside listening to spotify , home bar freezes again .. Also my dynamic island seems to cause issue when I using spotify so glitchy.. is anyone else having those issues and know how to correct it ?
This morning my iP14P was black and would not respond to any of the usual commands. I tried a call to that number and the call went straight to voice mail. It was charging all night but showed only 80% charged. The only new 'app' was from Post.News that I did not close out last night (i.e. part of a search to leave Twitter), This is beta and their refresh mechanisms are awkward.
I finally went to volume up, volume down, then push power until I saw the Apple logo.
I have 16.1.1 but am worried this could happen at the worst possible time like half way through a 12 hour flight without access to online resources that could refresh my memory.

When I had ipados 15xx everything was fine.
I installed ipados 16 beta1
and the first time I could not unlock several times a day
iPad using a 4 digit pin code.
(I don't use faceid, just pin code)
So I have to reset by pressing volume and power buttons. Then the official version of ios 16.1 came out,
formatted to default settings.
It has improved a bit, the problem occurs once a day.
So I installed ipados 16.2 beta 1
and the problem occurs again several times a day.
I installed ipados 16.2 RC and formatted the data
and the problem occurs once a day.
I sent beta feedback to apple, it showed up
that more than 10 people reported this problem to apple
for repair.

This is not a faceid problem because I have it turned off.
It's a lock screen problem

So I guess only Android phones have bugs?
I have a 13 pro max and a Samsung S22 plus and my S22 doesn't have any issues and was just updated to Android 13 while ever since the new iOS 16 I have been having battery drain issues, app issues, etc on my iphone. It was rock solid on 15.
Maybe you should just say the phone is not as stable as it should be instead of insulting comments about Android as a lot of people on here use both platforms.
I have weird bug with unresponsive screen since launch (now on 16.2, 14 Pro Max). After or in middle of a call, screen become unresponsive sometimes when I move iPhone from the ear. I need to press lock unlock twice to get work again.

I got my Iphone 14 Pro replaced with a new one. This is so far doing better than the previous one. I still observe it sometimes but lately I have realized that's how Iphone's touch response is. Just waiting for a software update to see if there is any improvement.
I have good news. I have reported to apple this lock screen hanging touch issue. Once a day because of this problem you have to reset forced by volume and power. Apple finally responded to my feedback request. This message from apple: Resolution: Potential fix identified - in IOS 16.3. So I installed ipados 16.3 beta 2 today and we'll see what the results are.

Hey that's cool! Thanks for the update. 16.2 did not help, or did not help much, for me- fingers crossed for 16.3.

Beta 2 ipados 16.3 still hangs on lock screen.
So we are waiting for beta 3 version, maybe there will be a fix in this one.
Or Latest version 16.3 RC.
Apple did not write that it improved in test versions.
It may be about the official version of ios 16.3

lock screen:

turn off all background apps
2 turn off automatic appstore updates
3disable 4 or 5 finger gestures
4turn off screen transparency
- settings - accessibility - traffic - tick reduce traffic
In my case, now it works stably, it doesn't hang on the lock screen and what's good is that it runs faster ipados 16.3
