Well the camera ZIT on the back is just as horrible as before. No end to this madness. Whenever I pick up my iP14PM I try to avoid looking at the back. Even though the finish is beautiful and love the look of the white glass...then you see this obnoxious huge camera lens just destroying the aesthetics completely. 🤮

I think the upgrade will be more meaningful for owners of the 13 Pro and older.

If nothing else, I'm looking forward to the titanium design, USB-C, and the "island" meaning that annoying "Low Battery" notification no longer occupies your entire display.

I wonder when Apple is gonna launch the subscription service thingy for the iPhone. I for one, would be at least giving a thought to use it
Hmm, good idea, given iPhone is useless without iOS which is not licensed like hardware anyway. Might as well just offer An option to literally not own anything, even user data.

So I suppose there will be 90 “upgrades” or reasons to upgrade for the 13PM…
Guess what, nothing really compelling for me to go from my 13PM, it does everything I want/need and battery is strong as it was replaced under AC+ not quite 6 months ago

New battery alleviates the need to upgrade almost entirely..
True, but even before the battery was still good enough to last me more than a day.
i get 700 or so mbps in the right areas, WiFi is more than fast enough for my internet speed (700 or so download), no lag in processing in general and while id like better cameras, what is rumored just isn’t worth it to me.

Really wish they didn’t make it any bigger, my iPhone 14 Pro is fine Apple just replaced my battery I will get another 2 years out of it. Stop making the damn phone thicker and thicker, oh yes the 17 slim will be here next year soooo what with none of the bells and whistles of the pro soooo over upgrading phones I end up doing the absolute same things with it.

I tend to upgrade every two years and was due for an upgrade from the 12 Pro to the 14 Pro but I waited due to rumors of USB-C coming to the 15 line and now that we know it can run Apple Intelligence and take spatial video for my Apple Vision Pro as well it was a smart move.

The 16 seems like a slight improvement over the 15 but there isn’t much of a difference between the two with my use case. The iPhone 17 looks to be a much more compelling upgrade. I’m assuming the introduction of the iPhone 17 Air will also mean a redesign of all of the phones in the line. We’ll see.

For the first time since the original iPhone launched, im not enticed at all to upgrade from the 14 pro to whatever comes out next.

I know I’m in the minority when I say this, but I’m waiting for the fold. If Apple decided to never release one, once this 13 pro is unusable, I’ll figure out what’s next then.
Same boat. iPhone 16 Pro looks like a dud.

The future iPhone 17 supposedly will offer 12 GB of RAM compared to 8GB of RAM. Just bumping the memory up should be able to support more concurrent AI features be run all at once locally rather using the cloud as much per recent rumors. Supposedly iOS 19 is headed in this direction versus the first AI implementations with iOS 18 this coming year. Thats not to say 8 GB since the iPhone 15 Pro, and very soon the iPhone 16 series won't hold you for a long time.

In the big scheme of things. iPhone hasn’t —significantly— improved very much since the iPhone 6S Plus.
Sure there’s been a myriad of small little tweaks from then to now, but the 6S Plus is still a very capable iPhone- 9 years old
