To those who pointed out that it is actually a 33% rather than 25% increase when wireless charging power goes from 15 to 20W: You cannot simply base this on pure math — you must factor in the iPhone model number, then you do indeed get 25% (rounded to nearest integer):

- multiply 15W by 20W for WTotal =WT
- multiply 14 by 16 for ModelTotal = MT
- subtract MT from WT for WGain = WG
- divide WG by WT for increase %
😊

I mean, this whole article was clearly AI generated, and we know that AI can suck at maths (when using the general models) 😂

Not being bothered to even proof read it before publishing sucks, as I really like reading the MR stuff..

Never understood the bragging about the higher display brightness. When you need it to be that bright a.k.a. when you're out in the sun, it gets warm in exactly 10 seconds and that instantly throttles the display to a very low brightness. Used to have an iPhone 13 and now have a 15 which has almost twice the peak brightness on paper but in reality there is zero difference - they throttle to about the same.

Apple should prioritize cooling its devices to ensure usability. Ditching wireless charging and retaining MagSafe would allow them to revert to a metal back with finned aluminum, a fan, and coolant. This design would optimize chip and screen brightness, prolong battery life, and utilize the device’s capabilities.

Hi everybody,
I'm currently running on 13P and I'm considering to buy a 15PM for the bigger screen and battery life. Maybe now I can get one with a good discount.

Sounds like a PC gaming iPhone you need ?

I'm on a six-year cycle.... bye bye XR.
I am too. I was planning to get either a 16 or see what the SE4 offers. But I’m increasingly tempted to stick with the XR. This little voice in my head keeps saying “You’ve come this far! Go another year…you can do it…and the 17 will be soooooo much better…it might even fold!!!”

Damn that voice. And I know it’ll be back next year…

I say pull the plug on the hideous camera design. It get uglier and uglier each year. Unless there is a breakthrough in technology, I can see the iPhone getting more hideous every generation. Look at it and the pro max, its ridiculous LOL

That's why this site has turned into just another Dealmac with affiliate links everywhere. Apple is in another Spindler era, nothing new or exciting and doing long-term damage to the brand.
Don't forget the groundbreaking "stories" about the latest Amazon price reductions! 🤣

I'm of the mind that iPhone (and iPad, for that matter) updates are primarily meant for new customers, and/or particularly those that want the latest, greatest features.

Otherwise, the iPhone you have is more than fine for the average person.

I'm on a 12 Pro and see no reason to upgrade, and my mother-in-law is using a second-hand Xr with no issues (I love how comfy that is to hold).

I ended up getting a 15 Pro back in June because I had a trip I wanted the better phone cameras for.

Where is my 9 Plus?

Just shrink the bezels a bit to make it a little smaller or have a larger screen like some 9,7" iPads, that still have a Home Button with 10.5" and 10.2".
