It would be a good business decision for Apple to add a 3.5 mm headphone jack with advanced support for high-impedance headphones (like on new MacBooks) to the new iPhone.

1) Apple would make their product line cleaner by allowing to use the same set of headphones with MacBooks and iPhones.

2) Headphone jack will allow to listen to Apple Music lossless (Bluetooth is not capable of transmitting lossless). Therefore, helping to win a market share for Apple Music.

3) It would be possible to listen to music while charging your iPhone.

What are your thoughts?
How about adding support for replaceable batteries, SD cards, etc. All other things Apple either doesn't want anymore, or never wanted.

I Agree with the OP but Apple will never bring the 3.5 mm headphone jack back to an iPhone, however there are many alternatives available if you want to listen to high quality audio files (DSD, 24 bit etc) like the Fiio Q3 DAC/AMP which is specifically made for iPhones:

Or maybe something smaller like the Fiio KA3 USB DAC:

And for those who want a lightning audio adaptor that is much better than the trash £9 Apple version, then:

The first one will power high impedance headphones no problems, and the bottom 2 will still give decent power to your headphones.
