For all those who aren’t being approved I wasn’t for years but was this year. The one thing I did notice was they only care about Equifax. So make sure your Equifax looks good.

Not too sure but the fact citizens pulls a hard pull every year is annoying. I get it just don't like it.
Citizen does not do a hard pull every year. Hard pulls cannot happen with frozen credit unless you intentionally 'unfreeze' in advance of the pull. I've gone through the iUP pre-approval process each year since 2018 with frozen credit and have never been prompted to unfreeze.

I completed the process again for the titanium 15 pro max 512 gb as well -I’m pretty positive I will get that color at this point

The one and only time I got a hard pull was the first first year. I've been in every year since then and have never had a hard inquiry on any of the three bureaus.

My Equifax is better, by around 25 points, than TransUnion. Still didn’t get accepted.

I did not get approved for IUP. Do you think I would have any better chance getting approved with a trade in and Apple Phone Payments. Still Citizens One Bank, so I’m not sure. Any ideas? Thanks.

In 2018, I had an almost 800 credit score and did a hard inquiry, due to some hardships in 2022 my score dropped to a 630 and I'm working on recovering it, but I had zero issues getting instant approval this year for a Pro Max with no hard pull

I mean its still the same citizens so if they denied you for the iUP, chances are they could deny you for the Apple phone payments. Other option is doing a ACMI and selecting a carrier, its still unlocked regardless of what carrier you choose.

Kinda my thought, but was surprised I didn’t get approved. My Equifax is in the 680’s, not great, but not horrible.

Ya man no clue. Have 700s credit score but they hard pulled again this year. It was insta approved but I just thought it to be weird seeing as I was just upgrading. I cannot believe Apple hasn’t started their own financing. Seems like a no brained for them. Idk

I would agree that Apple should start their own financing. Or at least start their own leasing program haha.

I have been a member of iUP for a few years now, and was hoping to upgrade my 14pro Max. I switched from ATT to Visible recently though, and I noticed that the pre-approval process forces me to choose either ATT, Verizon, or TMobile.

Is there a way around this? Am I just screwed now and no longer elgible to participate in iUP?

I'm afraid so... they recently changed their policy to only accepting 3 major carriers with no carrier-free option on financing options such as iUP or iPhone Payment Plan

Oh and yes, it is true that they pull credit score from Equifax and I unfreeze my credit access on Equifax for few days around this time of the year for iUP ;)

Wow this year pre order has been bad. Many app crashes. I got in on time. Sep 22 pick up. Seeing now dates slipping till October. Yikes!

It really was. Was able to get a Launch day in store pickup of the Black Titanium 256 GB. Natural Titanium had already slipped. I’m really not a color freak as I keep mine in a case.
