Yikes... seems like for non-intensive tasks the 15 pro will last longer, but if you incorporate heavy CPU tasks its even less efficient and worse than the 14 pro.

Isn't that logical?

Maximal processor power (and consumption) rose more than battery capacity. For non-intensive tasks this curve is not that steep and battery life improved.

As someone who just uses the phone for instagram, Facebook, twitter, safari, news, photography I hope it gets better. Only games I play are clash royal and clash of clans haha

Apple may have fixed vulnerabilities in the processor design that result in a major performance hit. (Like Spectre & Co.) Does anyone know if there were any major vulnerabilities in the ARM design?

Hats off to most of you for understanding all of the technical terms. ;) I have had my 15 pro since the evening of the 27th. It’s running flawlessly, but thus far my usage has been minimal. I do think the battery seems to fall off a bit quicker than past iPhones. Meaning it drops even though I am doing very little with it. I am withholding judgement until I have one of those hard phone-workout days. As long as it works until I lay my head down at night, I’m happy. I was curious to know if there is a known reason, and if it’s just new phone stuff, that updates will help with later.

Seems like there lacks a thread to share and discuss battery life upon usage so I’ve created one. Please do post more info like the phone you’re using and etc.

According to the CPU and GPU shrink to 3nm, fantastic battery times would be expected. 3nm needs a way less energy than 5nm. Why is the endurance of the new 15 pro only as good as the 14 pro. It should be a way better??????
Perhaps 🤔. I noticed the iPhone pro max 15 battery endurance is about the same as 14 pro max. Apple might improve iPhone 16 battery endurance. Let’s hope so 😊

50% battery with 2 hours screen on 48 mins off on 15 PM 17.0.3. Top contributors Safari, Spotify and Lock Screen…. 15,13,13 respectively. Is this normal? Shall I do a clean install
