So I am on the Apple Upgrade Program, so every year I preorder and get my launch day delivery. This is the first year that I am hard pressed for what color I will go with. I usually get the new color they do each year, so I have the 14 Pro Max purple now, but the new blue looks like it will be very close to what we have now, so that leaves me debating on what to go with this year lol (First world problems)

Now I am not sure of I will want Black, or the silver (Does it look more white in person?) or the new Titanium gray color....... None of these are excitement colors lol.

I was SO hoping we would have had the rumored red color this year, UGH.
Here's the answer to your problem (if you're like the 98% that keep it in a case) Take the color of the case you're planning to buy - Then order whatever phones are still left by the time you get your order in Friday morning, you can't go wrong with this formula once in the new case its a perfect match every time!! Speaking of cases, has anyone seen a good high-end leather case yet for the 15 PM? I will not give Cook the satisfaction of the added profit they'll make selling me a case made out of old Coke bottles for the same exact price as leather!

Also, did anyone from the presentation actually bother to take a picture of white and natural bands side by side? You know, so that we don’t rely on renders and can see how the colors actually compare? Not in the same video, but literally side by side in one frame.

iJustine has a short video with the comparison.

@Djones96 You can see in this video the piss yellow undertones of the natural. I don't know....its really subject to the lighting.

In MKBHD’s video he said it reminded him of Starlight color which I don’t like at all. It always seemed to have a yellow bronze hue to me. I was hoping the natural would have a more silver metallic look. I’ll be going with the white color.

At the 8:02 mark, MKBHD mentions the Natural Titanium has a warm tone and that it looks like Starlight a bit. No mention of it being similar to the AW Ultra.

Actually, the natural titanium band color matches her AW Ultra in both videos. Looks like the color is the same as old titanium products. Which is good for me, because I like that normal Ti hue more than silver or starlight aluminum.

Here's a comparison I made 2 years ago.

Titanium S7 vs Silver SE

As you can see, all 3 are different, and Starlight is much closer to Silver than both are to Titanium.

I really hope that 15PM is the same color as this "raw" titanium. And I wish there were direct comparison shots available.

Black for me I think...

I had the Pacific Blue 12PM, the Alpine Green 13PM and then the Purple 14PM (stupidly sold that) and bought another but in silver (which really is white)...

But the Black looks a solid finish and prefer that for a change.

It'll be in a UAG case though; so the colour isn't massively an issue, but not keen on the other colours this time around.. Blue does look ok

If Black is anything like AW7 Titanium Black, it's going to be epic on a phone.

I decided so far to stick with blue for my preorder setting. I’m somewhat tempted by Natural because I think the camera area will look great with a wider variety of cases. But I have long wanted a deep blue phone that’s not so full of teal as Pacific blue was.

I do worry the color will show fingerprints and flake off eventually after reading about people complaining about that on their titanium watches when I was researching a bit about the durability of titanium with colored finishes. Oh well, I’ll just make sure the case covers that.

I assume the pictures online are not picking up the color of the natural titanium accurately. In person would you say it’s close to a gray color? I’ve never seen the Ultra Watch in person or the older titanium watches for that matter. Basically I want a neutral color phone more than anything else. Currently have the pacific blue 12 Pro and had buyer’s remorse for the last few years. The novelty of the color wore off.

The pictures above were taken by me and they are pretty accurate compared to how the watches looked in person. Of course, I can’t be sure without knowing exactly how your computer / display / phone is showing them. But relative color difference should be consistent regardless.

So if you are familiar with traditional apple silver aluminum, the comparison above should tell you a lot.

In person I don’t see any yellow or pink hue on the Titanium watches. They are darker grey, but not the same grey as in anodized or raw aluminum products. Pretty neutral tint overall and to me it looks amazing. The big difference is in the surface finish - titanium is brushed and more reflective, and it affects the perception a lot.

I’d recommend going to the store to check out AW Ultra though.

Black titanium is my pick I’m sticking with the darker color

I have the 12P Graphite at the moment
Hopefully the black titanium will look better through a clear case than the graphite does

I’m torn between Silver and Blue. I personally don’t want another blue iPhone. I still have my Pacific Blue 12PM, and would like a different color. I haven’t had a Silver iPhone since the 6+.
I have the silver 14PM, and this one looks similar — beautiful. I’m keeping my 14PM, so going with natural.

Thank you for pictures and info. I really appreciate it.

One of the YouTubers Snazzy Labs mentioned on the models with darker borders, if they scratch deep you’ll see the true Titanium colour, any truth to this as I would imagine that’d be the case. Had my eye on blue until he mentioned that and now has me thinking Natural Titanium.

9To5Mac video claims it's a mix of copper and silver, like Starlight. 1:31 in. Apple's choice of gold wallpaper for Natural now makes sense.

I’m going natural titanium after having a space black 14 Pro.

Came from a Sierra Blue 13 Pro and one near daily annoyance I didn’t anticipate is if I set the phone down in a darker room it can be hard to spot from a distance. Excited to get back on the lighter side, without going full-on white for the back glass.

Has anyone else that setup a preorder for monthly payments using the Apple CC had it charged? Mine was charged already.

Phone ends up in a case anyway (for most people the same I guess?) but im always so bored that the Pro model's have such lame colors. At least in my personal taste. The only one I liked where the purple and light blue one they did. Really liking the "normal" iPhone 15 better for the color options.
