Having the same problem. 15PM looks like it’s in night shift (it’s not) and noticeably dimmer than 14PM. Finished installing/ indexing a few hours ago. Phone was hot at that time. Been cool for an hour at least.

Have tried the hard reset recommendation with the auto dimming off a few times and hasn’t changed anything. Still looks the same.

Will give it a day or so and see if it recovers or if anyone else has any ideas here to try.
Got my issue resolved.

Explanation is I'm an idiot. Amazon shipped me the wrong screen cover. They sent me a Privacy Screen cover from Spigen which I discovered has some tint built in.

The way they come with the full frame installation kit now, you don't see the cover. At least that's my excuse for not noticing.

Swapped out the screen cover for a standard one and everything looks great on mine now.

Just noticed this as I was out with both phones. Anyone know if there’s a fix ? Funny enough, as I was typing this message the screen got significantly brighter on my 15PM. I wasn’t doing anything intensive with it prior to replying here, so not sure why that happened.

After turning auto brightness off you have to do a hard reset of the phone, then it will really be off and the brightness will be normal. That's how it's been on my 12PM and 13PM.
Thank you!! I noticed my 11 PM looked brighter than my 15 PM, the problem is now fixed and my new phone is blindingly bright haha

How did you gets yours fixed? My iPhone 11 regular version looks brighter than my 15PM where it looks dim. I turned off auto brightness but I don’t see any difference

I just got a 15PM and noticed straight away the screen is washed out and looks like the contrast is lower than my 14PM, so having the same wallpaper on each phone the red, orange and blues are so washed out on the new phone. I tried the auto brightness off and hard reset but it’s the same. Panel lottery as usual.

Anyone else noticed the 15 Pro Max brightness is only half that of the 14 Pro Max? First thing that caught my attention when I'd finished setting it up. On max brightness, the 15 is so much dimmer.

Photo is a bit rubbish as it was taken on my iPad, but you can clearly see the difference. Rather disappointing... :/

UPDATE: A hard reset, as recommended by Skrungemaster, fixed the issue. My odd looking grey colours and the face melting brightness are back to normal :)

Hi, same problem here 🫠, a hard reset is a hard restart? Or its another which deletes all your data and starts the phone from zero?
