We haven't used screen protectors on our X or 13 and I can't see any scratches. Both have been dropped with cases. Carried in purses and pockets. Taken on river trips and I mean canoes in class 3 rivers. I'm sure there are use cases for protectors but last time I used one I felt it made it more difficult to use occasionally.

Weird with all the complaints about the Spigen Ez? Mine covers everything edge to edge. First time using Spigen but I’m happy and it was relatively inexpensive. Had it day 1 and it went on as soon as I pulled shipping plastic off phone. 15 Pro Max

I have been a fan of ESR for quite sometime and i put those on our 15PM’s, the frame blocking the screen was a no go for me though.

Took them off and put the torras on, the installation and fit and finish are top notch.

However, the oleopathic coating on the torras is not great..am used to super slick coating on the ESR protectors, the torras are “tacky” i dont like this at all.

For reference the ESR’s in our 14 PM are super slick, which is how it should be

I completely disagree. ESR coating is subpar and wears off super quick. I’ve been using ESR since the 12 (love them) except the coating. Then they screwed up with the 15 Pro.

Ive had ESR one time for my 13 Pro Max and every single one of the 3 screen protectors I used within 1 month they started to show air bubbles underneath. It was absolutely disappointing. I thought I was doing something wrong.

Those 3 ESR protectors managed to last me a year (it was digusting seeing my phone with massive airbubbles for a year) and I switched to Spigen Ez protectors once I was sure I wasnt upgrading to the 14 Pro Max. 1 screen protector from Spigen has lasted me all this time with zero issues. Which made me 100% sure it wasnt my fault with the ESR ones but it was ESR that was poor quality.

Ever since then Ive sworn off ESR and after reading this thread seems they havent improved.

I was going to order the Spigen Ez protector this year for my 15 Pro Max but with the curved edges I decided to read up on this forum. Seems like Spigen doesnt go to the edge like the 13 Pro Max ones do. Which is very unfortunate since I dont use cases at all. Going with the Torras screen protector based on this posts recommendations. Bit expensive tho

I've never had to install more than one tempered glass screen protector using Zagg. This year will be no different. Using the XTR3 model this year. It's pricey compared to most. You get what you pay for.

Down south
I got the amFilm for my pro max. As soon as I lifted off the paper, I put the frame around it and pressed the glass protector into place. Looks great, and the Loopy case comes over and almost touches the edges of the protector.

I had the ESR on my 13 Pro and I don’t remember it feeling any different than the Torras, but the coating wore off in 6 months or so and I took it off because it was always so smudgy

Looks like flolab finally released a revised version of their screen protector but they want double the price for it. So rush a product to market that’s defective and doesn’t fit and then double the price for the fixed version. What a terrible practice. I’ve been a loyal flolab customer for years but they’ve lost me with this one. I hope other follow suit.

Tried a new Spigen EZ Fit today - third attempt - after effing up with an irremovable air bubble first and then unhappy with the fit on the long axes.

Much, much better now. Doesn't seem to be the dust magnet it was last week, and looks just as good with both my cases (Otterbox Symmetry+ and Dbrand Grip).

Slightly better screen coverage on the right than left, but nothing I can't live with.

I'm happy - one less thing to be anal about....

I’ve had a bit of an interesting experience, with Torras. The first protector installed a little low; there was slight halo-effect above the black border. I repositioned it, but the halo never went away.
I installed the second protector, which went on perfectly, but there were imperfections in the glass; little black specks that I originally thought were dust.
I spoke with Torras customer service, who are very nice and helpful, and they overnighted me a new pack of protectors. I installed one on my phone, and the other on my brother’s phone. Mine went on flawlessly; my brother’s was another story. His has a very noticeable halo/white edge… I tried to reposition and the squeegee, but nothing helped.
I reached back out to Torras… I was told they are working on a revision and will send it to me, once it’s available.
As far as my experience, I love the near edge-to-edge coverage, but I have noticed it’s not as smooth as the ESR Armorite.

What do you mean by halo effect?
