Seems a lot of you guys say spigen ez isn’t as good this year. I put it on my 12 pro since that’s the phone I used and it’s been on since day one. Mine looks flawless, but yes dust getting on the edges is going to happen with any protector Has anyone used the spigen on the 12 and can confirm it’s different this year?

I’ve tried 4 different brands and spigen has the worst coverage and oleophobic coating of the bunch by far.

After spending a day with the torras, I can definitely tell the oleophobic coating is inferior to the ESR Armorite. It smudges a lot easier and isn’t as glidey.
Thanks for posting this. I was contemplating switching my ESR Armorite to Torras to improve coverage, but hearing this I would rather just deal with slightly less coverage over the inferior smudge/glide experience you are describing.

I don’t have an ESR to compare but my Torras doesn’t seem to attract too much fingerprints. It feels and looks pretty good. Except the small screen encroachment.

What do UltraGlass and TORRAS look like? Which of these two is better:?
Actually, UltraGlass and TORRAS are from the same manufacturer.

I've purchased both, and their packaging and glass are identical.

I looked at their manufacturing addresses and they are all sourced one one place.

The packaging and glass appear to be identical, but the only difference on the Amazon listing is Torras offers a year warranty on their product but UltraGlass doesn't mention any coverage.

IMO, the Torras is much better than ESR with the olephobic portion. The one weak part of ESR protectors is the fingerprints and also the coating wears off very quickly (at least when I used the ESR protectors on my 13 and 14 Pro)

There are two versions of ESR screens for the 15, their regular line and the Armorite model. Which did you have for the 13/14? The Armorite might have better coating like another poster said above.

The oleophobic coating on the torras isn’t bad, it’s just not as good as the Armorite. Still prefer the torras to the esr because it blocks less of the screen.

A couple things to mention regarding ESR and Ultraglass (aka Torras)

I originally had the ESR Armorite on. With a case on I could tell some of the screen was blocking the usable area so I replaced it with the Ultraglass.

Just before taking it off I noticed it wasn’t centered (it was justified to the right blocking some of the left screen).
The Ultraglass went on fairly well centered.

I think all the complaints for the ESR is because the install frame isn’t centering the glass.

Comparing both.
The glass on both are exactly the same dimensions.
The black border is almost the same size on both brands.
I think the coating on the ESR Armorite is slightly better (smoother)

Ultraglass just emailed me saying they were revising their screen protector and will send the new version when available.

I think so too. Maybe a slight fraction of a millimeter
Thanks for clearing up the whole Torras vs Ultraglass screen protector!

Regarding case compatability, did you encounter any issues with your Torras screen protector either not fitting properly when putting on a case?

I'm going to be using the Benks ArmorPro 600d Kevlar Aramid Fiber case in combination with the Torras/Ultraglass. My only concern is since the Torras screen protector extends a tiny bit more to cover the slightly curved edges, will this cause the Torras glass to start lifting/peeling/causing air bubbles due to the edges coming into contact with the case's raised lip that covers a slight portion of the front bezels of the iPhone?
