Thinking of ordering the Torras but saw another post say that it cuts into the screen a little bit (specifically if you open the camera app and look at the corner Ls). Can anyone with the torras diamond shield installed check and confirm?

Pardon, what's the corner Ls? in photo, video, ProRes? Let me know which and I can post photos.

Highlighted here. They’re probably only a couple pixels thick so very thin and like I said with the Torras protector face on I can see them fully. If I tilt left and right (in portrait) the vertical part of the L will disappear behind the black edge of the protector. So yes it might cut into the screen a tiny bit. But it’s insignificant imo and doesn’t interrupt content in any way.

However that being said it is evidence that the protector very marginally cuts into the screen real estate.

Mine has a VERY VERY Small overlap on the left side of the screen (noticeable on the camera app). I've also noticed that the edges collect A LOT of dust. It's in my pocket when walking around so I'm guessing the edges aren't fully seated to the phone and the dust is sticking to the adhesive...

To be fair, every screen protector with black borders that I've used has had this characteristic (dust catches and sticks to the edges).

See mine’s the opposite, looking at it straight on, I cant see the top left vertical line in the camera app. Once I angle it, it’s visible. This Torras screen protector still covers part of the screen, even if it’s better than others. I emailed them to see what they’ll say regarding this

Like others here, struggled with the Spigen EZ Fit this year. Failed first time, the world’s most stubborn air bubble. Second one is OK, but too much uncovered glass at the sides which has turned into a dust trap. Top and bottom are perfect.

Going to try, and likely fail, with the dbrand glass *EDIT - didn't get the glass* (no installer. But I do have Beta blockers.) that comes with the Grip case when it arrives this afternoon, and have the Torras arriving in 13 days.

IMO Spigen didn't get it right this year, although the air bubble was my fault.

Someone asked about the sapphire protectors. I’ve had a crappy experience with them. The Shellrus sapphire protectors don’t scratch but I’ve had 2 that chipped/broke - not dropped but tapped against something. They felt cool and great to the touch but didn’t last at all.

I had very good experience with them on the iPhone 13 Pro Max. For the 14 Pro Max they were to small and also mine had a hairline crack after some time. I then bought a Hoda Sapphire and was very happy for half the price with shipping as the shipping to europe with Shellrus is alsmost 50$ which is crazy.

Didn't notice this before but after you said this I checked and it does cover the white L by maybe .5mm on the right side?

Can you update with what you hear back from them regarding the edge?

@paulchiu got yourself a perfectly centered installation there! I first tried my go-to AmFilm and unfortunately, as others have commented, it barely covered the display and had the rainbow effect around the edges. Given all the praise for Torras, I gave it shot. Went on super easy without dust or bubbles. Honestly the best screen protector installation I've ever experienced. And I was just about to come on here and heap on the praise when I noticed that it does slightly cover the display, especially the camera app. Sucks because it's one of those things you can't un-notice. It's still fantastic otherwise, just hard to stomach having any obstructed view of the screen, be it maybe only the width of a couple pixels. Sticking with it until something better comes along, preferably large enough to cover the majority of the bezels but without the black borders.

Same here, I didn't even notice it and never would have if I didn't read this post. 😂

But it's something you can't unsee. I'll see if they release a new version with slightly smaller borders.

My Torras install looks great too. I feel like there is always going to be a small amount of mis-alignment on any protector since it relies on a small plastic part.

For the ESR it was too large and noticeable in everyday usage, but with the Torras it seems very small (depending on the install). Luckily I don’t see any problem on mine. Good luck!

I think I'll roll with it, I'm sure with the smaller bezels and curved glass it is hard for companies to get the fit exact. The Torras still looks better than any protector I've used, and there is no dust. If I take it off and try a new one who is to say it won't be the same, and then I might end up with dust under the screen.

Another recommendation for TORRAS GlassGo. It fits perfectly and the application method is very precise and easy. I tried the Belkin Ultraglass 2 first. It was very slightly squint and also the gap from the edge of the protector to the edge of the screen was relatively big (over 1mm I would estimate) resulting in bumping your finger against it when swiping from the edges.

Almost no gap at the edges with the TORRAS GlassGo - no problems with bumping against the protector when swiping.

The black border around the edges of it are actually good. This was something I was concerned about - but it is actually a good effect and doesn't overlap the screen at all.

Also - you get two screen protectors in the package. So if there are issues applying one - or if one gets damaged in a drop etc - then you have another one ready to go.

Anyone wondering about removing a previously installed screen protector - I had no issues with this after heating up slightly with a hair dryer on low setting, and then lifting a corner very slowly. The protector lifted and started to move off across the whole area of the screen with very little pressure. I think the main thing here is not to apply too much pressure. If it shatters then it can be nightmare to get the remaining bits off.

Yup imo Torras is as close as it gets. My fit is perfect as well at straight viewing angles it’s only at off angle that you can notice anything off and only if you’re really looking for it. I’m happy with it, and the application was a cinch

Mine went on great, the tiniest encroach on the bottom left camera angle. Have a very tiny bubble bottom left corner that'll I'll give a chance to right itself before contacting Torres. Otherwise 97% happy and a lot better than the EZFit.

I had a suspicion that the Torras was cutting off a bit of the display but couldn't prove it until I saw this post, and yes, I can now confirm that it is cutting off part of the screen. I am debating returning it and splurging on a Flolab unless that is also having fit issues, I'll have to search back through this thread and see. Maybe the answer is no screen protector until the manufacturer's can catch up to the updated design of the 15.

Edit: I see that they are also having issues. I think once I get a more protective case on the phone I'll peel off this screen protector, request a refund, and wait for the manufacturers to update.

Heard the flolab is having fit issues as well. They claim they have a new revised model coming out on the 30th.
