I heard back from Torras support and they said they are updating the black border and that they would send me a new version of the protectors once they are updated, likely in October.
Interesting! While I’m very happy with mine I still reached out to them as well. If there’s a version 2 that’s even better I’d be happy to try that as well

Same here.
Not me. While I appreciate Torras attention to detail I would probably get more dust with another install. The one I have on now is just about perfect. I love this protector and can’t believe I didn’t hear about this company prior to this year.

First, I had the Spigen EZ Fit. Noticed that the screen protector is too high on the top and too low on the bottom. Only 2 out of the 4 screen protectors didn’t have this problem. Also, one of them came with a free hair under the protection foil.

So, I switched to Torras, the one with the easy orange applicator. I am not sure if the black bezels are cutting out. I don’t feel like I’m missing a part of the screen. If Torras wants to send improved screen protectors, fine by me. But overall, once the iPhone is dustfree, it is easy to install the screenprotector as there can’t get any dust under the screen protector while installing it. Just had to clear out some bubbles. But the coating and glass seems to be premium.

That's good to hear! But I might be with @drew0020. My current Torras is just about perfect with the ever so slight encroachment on the right side which, so far (and please nobody add any more examples), is only evident in the camera app. I don't think I've ever had an installation that was as easy and without a single bubble or spec of dust. Not to mention the screen is great.

Just wanted to chime in with my experience. I was between the Torras and Flolab and decided to go with Torras since it's cheaper and I could get it through Amazon and after hearing good experiences here. The first install was a bit crooked and was covering quite a bit of the left edge of the screen. I used the second included protector and it's much better, however I do notice that it covers just a tiny bit of the screen especially when viewed off axis. I do not know if there are others that do not do this. Seems to be difficult without how much space there is. I'd be curious if Flolab is better, but don't really feel like spending more money at the moment. I also, reached out Torras via their support and mentioned the issues, so we'll see if there is a new version that comes out if they offer to send it to me. Otherwise I'm mostly happy as I don't notice it too much in my normal use and it's a very nice protector. I had a Spigen before, but it didnt feel as smooth and clear as the Torres.

Is there such a thing as a temporary/removable/'static cling' screen protector? I don't want a permanent glass screen protector on my phone, but there are situations where it would be handy to have some sort of cover over it and not worry so much about about grit or sunscreen on hands or something like that. I know the screen still works through a snap-lock plastic bag, but something a little more refined would be ideal. I wouldn't be fussed about small bubbles etc. so long as it didn't mess up the oleophobic coating or permanently affect the screen.

I’ve tried the Spigen, Benks, ESR Armorite, and Torras. The Torras definitely has the best coverage but still slightly overlaps the bezel and blocks part of the screens, albeit less than the others.

For those testing a screen protector for potential border issues, I suggest using a specific wallpaper featuring double border lines along the edges. This wallpaper offers a quick and effective way to check the screen protector's precision.

I personally used this wallpaper and quickly identified issues with my two Benks protectors. Here are two photos I took and sent to Banks' support demonstrating the problem:

Do you know of one for the non-plus screens?

Yeah I wish I never opened this thread. 🤣

Has anyone tried the Flolab screen protector? I'm curious if it also covers a portion of the screen?

What do you mean by “covers portion of the screen”? Or do you mean “only a portion”? Don’t you want it to cover the entire screen?

Some of the screen protectors have a small black border that is covering a small section of the screen. You can see what people have talked about with other screen protectors in the rest of this thread. I was curious if the Flolab screen protectors suffer from the same issues.

You don’t even need to set it as a wallpaper, you can open it in photos and it works the same. It works on the 6.1” screens too.

PS. don’t do it or you’ll see more than the camera corner covered by the Torras 😱

I’ll keep it on until they release the updated version but then I’ll try the new one they send me.

I ordered an Araee, I believe it’s a subsidiary of Spigen S. Korea but I can’t find anything on the internet whether it’s true or not. The product claims it has curved edges and fills the entire screen, it was released just in the last couple days. I’ll see if it’s true or not in a couple days…

After spending a day with the torras, I can definitely tell the oleophobic coating is inferior to the ESR Armorite. It smudges a lot easier and isn’t as glidey.

I cancelled my ESR order and went with Torras as almost everyone praise them.

Most of these companies claim a curved edge to edge design and 90% of them are full of sh**

Is it just me or does the Torras screen protector for the 15 Pro not go all the way to the top of screen where the speakers are? Mine has a slight gap..
I don't know if I installed it wrong or my screen protector is defective?
