I don’t get the hype on usb c, I mean I have the iPad Pro 12.9 M1 with usb c only but the rest of my stuff my AirPods Pro 2, AppleTV remote, backup spare iPhones are all running lightning. So glad I’m keeping my iPhone 14 pro till it forces me to let go of lightning.
The hype is very likely from people who own a bunch of other products that all use USBc. All gaming consoles have moved on, many laptops, wireless headphones, speakers, etc. I can totally see not being jazzed if you are a majority lightning house. At this point, our household uses lightning only for our iphones though.

If they remove the SIM card tray in Europe, I don't think I'll buy it.

EDIT: Okay, @lkrupp disagrees with me not buying the phone if it is eSIM only. What are you going to do, make me buy it? LOL... I don't really see the point on forcing everyone on eSIMs, you can use eSIM already, leave us the option to use the physical SIM card. I must remind to our non-European readers that in many countries you cannot get a pre-paid eSIM, it has to be a nanoSIM.
The dual eSIM is particularly undesirable for individuals working overseas in crisis situations or routine construction/auditing/developing contracts where you’re working with middle-class and labor personnel. They need to communicate with you constantly, but it’s costly for them to text or call a US number even though you’re only 200 to 300 meters away.

Apple should permit U.S. customers who regularly work overseas to order through a specific phone number or link to get the international models with 1 eSIM and 1 SIM tray.
