I wish Apple would just sell an unfinished titanium version, that would be the one to go for. It would look fantastic and have no chance of any coating wearing off.

Seriously why so boring.
The regular line gets the bold exciting colours (my wife literally went non pro for her colour choice !) and the pro line gets muted shades of dull.
Maybe they realise almost everyone puts a case on it and then the colour barely matters.

You can’t do red in titanium as it ends up pink when anodizing.
If I understood Apple correctly over the past decade and half, every year is their best iPhone ever. Of course, maybe they’ll make an exception this year.

Agreed- that might be what Silver/White will hold. I have a feeling the Titanium Chassis will be unfinished and brushed.
I'm in the same boat. I jumped on the 14PM because I fell in love with the dynamic island, and I also went up the Max size. None of the upcoming rumored features mean much to me, so unless there will a "one more thing" about this upcoming phone the chances of me sticking with the 14PM are quite high. I think the 16 will be a more 'complete' new phone, than the 15, but that's just a gut feeling.
I couldn't even tell you what my current phone color is and frankly - I'll get what is available if some are more available than others. I care what phone does not what it looks like
Will they call it Grue? Or Blay? Glae? Bruy?

The lover of design in me is deeply hurt by this statement!
If I do end up getting the 15 PM, I'm unsure if I will go with the new blue color or space black. I have a space black 14 right now which is making me want to go for the blue color but I also love the space black one so... not sure. Leakers are making it seem like the new blue color is like pacific blue but less green and more grey, which really gravitates me towards the blue color. Decisions decisions...
just be thankful there's no rose gold, space black sounds cool
I’ve always just got the silver and likely will again, but if they went with neon bright colors I might consider a green or orange.
For the 15PM either white/silver or that new black...
I do like the 13P green I got after not being able to use my Chinese locked pacific blue 12P. My watch is blue 😁

I'm not a fan of gold coloured things, but from reading these forums over the years, it seemed relatively popular.

I think I’ve had gold iPhones for a decade at this point. I’ll miss it 😢 but I do appreciate the forced opportunity to try another color.
