Why is bigger not better in phones?! I'm 6'4" and wear XL gloves, yet daily I must strain awkwardly to click on specific app and website options when using my IP4Pro singlehandedly. This is a regular annoyance, slows device use for many routine operations, and increases the risk of dropping the phone. I could add annoyances of how it fits into and is extracted from pockets of pants and cycling jerseys. In exchange for these downsides, I see no upside. I have TVs for watching videos, movies, and sports. Gaming, for me, is lame and of no interest. And when I scroll to read an article, I'm scrolling, so the display of an extra line of text is no true benefit. So Apple, please give me a smaller Pro!

I find that I use my 13 Pro a lot more than my iPad (11” and 12.9”) precisely because I can do most things with one hand. Even reading in bed is easier with the phone.

I just hope the 6.3” doesn’t translate to a big difference in one hand use. This is why I miss the 5.8”.

I have a 15 pro, and really, really didn't have any plans to upgrade for at least another year or two...

But, I never really liked the 15 pro. It just never felt like an upgrade over the 11 pro it replaced.

So, after Monday's presentation, I've been mulling away and the more I think about it, the more I'm tempted to get the 16 pro.

Seeing all the amall, incremental improvements could be what's tipping me over the edge and lure me into ordering a 16 pro come Friday.

I know I shouldn't...but... ;)

From what I can tell the combination of the new ISP / video encoder in the A18 Pro and the faster readout from the second gen 48mp main camera sensor appears like they should provide a pretty massive camera upgrade.

On the photo side I'm really curious if this combination will result in notable photo improvements like reduced highlight clipping, better detail capture from image stacking / compositing, and higher quality photos in the 24mp / 48mp modes when using JPEG-XL (vs HEIF).

On the video side I'm really curious if this combination will result in similar image quality quality improvements (via the image pipeline and compression improvements mentioned above), but mostly excited to see how much the new sensor's faster readout improves things like rolling shutter. Also, if the new video pipeline can do 4k 120hz Dolby Vision now I would guess that 4k 30hz / 60hz Dolby Vision could see quality improvements from the additional processing muscle required for 4k 120hz Dolby Vision being utilized across the full frame rate range.

I upgraded from the iPhone 14 Pro Max to the iPhone 15 Pro Max and the access to 48mp HEIF, offering excellent photo quality with low file sizes and minimal impact on camera interface responsiveness vs ProRAW, was one of the biggest selling points for me.

I agree with many of the comments, iPhone has become boring. That’s why I bought a Motorola Razr plus 2024 and I have it loaded with all my apps I use with WiFi for emails. Once iOS 18 is universal for RCS I will swap sim’s and use as my daily driver. It’s a fabulous device. I bought the shell case from Motorola and a belt clip from Amazon.

So what would it take for you specifically to consider a model iPhone not boring?
Come on mate, even you know the answer; call me apple sheep, apple fan as well because you know what, i am; and as a long time apple super fan consumer, i need to see my money worth.
innovation is very importan, also the small details that apple has been taken off the boxes when a new iPhone is purchase, that’s is horrendou, apple even pulls the stickers off and apple still charge the same prices……

Idk what people are expecting from a phone at this point but hardware improvements. Its similar to a desktop or laptop. The upgrades are in the software itself.
Very true, is like a porsche vehicle, the same hardware frame of the car is always the same, why change it when is already perfect, i totally agree with you.

Way to not answer. I asked for specifics and you complain about the purchasing experience. That has nothing to do with the hardware. It’s just a box that gets trashed by most.

Specs? Absolutely
how about every year, apple slightly increased the camera,
how about in a 2024 apple still gives 90hz refresh rate screen,
how about this year on the 16PM apple still gives the black foil battery,
how about the mediocre front facing camera still in a 2024,

the so called “Apple Intelligence“ wasn’t even ship with the phone mate…. AI still in beta my friend, this phone was rushed, it tells me that the this 16 line up they fixed everything they did wrong on the 15 line up.
