Apple did have to make adjustments during the chip shortage, probably why the last two iPhones were using the previous chipsets in order to make sure they could hit production numbers. Same thing why the M2 rollout seemed everywhere. Certain models not getting updated with the iPad Air/Pro and iMac 24-inch.

Probably see things get back to the way they were with hardware rollouts in 2024. My guess, the M3 rollout will start with the MacBook Air, “MacBook Pro 13-inch,” Mac mini and iMac 24-inch; then with the heavier pro based models with the Studio, Mac Pro, MacBook Pro and iMac 32-inch scattered through the year.

Why wait for that when you can have this, now?

I don't really follow the Android world. I know there is some high-powered stuff there, but I once suggested to the fam that we look at Android options and they reacted as if I'd suggested having grilled zebra for dinner.

I guess that's why I hadn't heard of this phone. Wow--that is a remarkable handset. And I guess $2k+ phones are a thing now, at least in Canada.

I think if they have a pro chip and a non pro chip that marginalizes the iPhone brand as a whole. That it devalues the base iPhone.
It used to be no mater which phone you chose, it was a high end device in every way to the Pro but for the extras. Feels like the end of an era. Like when TV shows added new characters and starting jumping sharks because of low ratings.
