I have the case and I like it. Has a good grip good size lip , camera control buttons works great and good magnet. It feels great in the hand, though some people here feel like it attracts too much fingerprints and grease.

Back in the Pitaka Ultra-Slim. This is the first year these cases really clicked for me. I’m currently addicted to the near-caseless feel… at least until I drop my phone and destroy it. 😅

Yeah, I’ll be keeping the Lumen, but the Pitaka is really nice for around the house and office.Didn’t last long in the lumen

I really like these type of cases but the risk of dropping my phone and there being far more chance of damage makes me reluctant to use them. Even with Apple Care it’s a hassle having to have the phone fixed or replaced.
I have the benks version of this because I wanted the black camera ring and I love it, but for some reason the texture of aramid feels like holding onto a chalkboard when it’s cool and your hands are dry…. For me at least. I want to use it more but it gives me sensory issues I guess lmao
I have AppleCare+ so I’m not too worried about catastrophic damage. It’s actually the scrapes and dings that aren’t covered that I’m more concerned about.
Ironically, the one time I dropped my phone in recent years was when I was changing cases and it was bumped off of a table without a case on… lol. It survived without any marks or damage, which was surprising. This was a 15PM.
I can see that. I don’t know much about the various Benks models, but the Pitaka “Tactile Woven” cases have a pronounced texture that doesn’t seem to have the chalkboard feeling you’re describing. The “Ultra-Thin” I posted above is smoother and is finished more like other aramid cases.

I picked up the Mujjo 16 Pro Max leather case in Black. Its a really nice case that feels great in the hand. Very good quality. Buttons feel great! Nice bump around the screen. I don't use a screen protector but I don't see using one being a problem.
The camera cutout looks nice and even, it is recessed. It's usable but not nearly as flush as what Belroy did. But that's not a dealbreaker. I think it's worth the purchase if you're looking for a nice quality leather case, and don't mind the cutout.

Yes the marks and dings would bother me too. I’m very particular about keeping my phone in as pristine a condition as possible. I see people on my daily commute with phones which still work but have cracks, don’t bugs, scratches and even bits missing from the case and that always makes me cringe. I even see people with phones with the thin plastic film screen protectors in an awful state. I’m baffled how people can put up with that kind of stuff. 😅

When I run my fingers on the back of my sheath, I can feel a slight bump. Barely noticeable. The textured back is also a little bit worn down where I normally place my palm. This is with 6 weeks of use.
Impressed with the Ringke Rugged. Maybe as good as the Air2.
I saw the new Mous cases in person. The amount of gap in the capture button is vomit inducing, what made them go with that as their choice?
