Yes the Gen6 Aramid.
It’s not grippy on the back only the sides.
While I used the Speck presidio for years and loved the grippy back I’m ok without it now. I simply love the silky feeling of the Gen6 in the hand.
I’m accepting the slight slippery reality. But it’s not going to trigger drops and fumbles.
Does anyone have experience with Rebel cases with the aluminum lens protection, do they lose their coating and paint chips off? Curious how durable they are.
I’ve never had a problem with the coating on Phone Rebel parts. They use PVD which is more durable than anodizing or powder coating.
No harm in buying it and letting your brother decide what to do with it.
In my personal opinion if you are in for a case then you should try it yourself and then decide instead of getting influenced by reviews etc.
Ordered the Nomad Magma Rocky Point band but passed on the sport case. Think I'll wait until they bring this color to the rugged case. I'm done until Rebel or Caudabe bring on the CC button.

Back in the Apple Silicone (Plum) at the mo. Ringke Rugged Gear is ok but feels plasticky, will use occasionally.

ESR has a few different styles. I use the one with FindMy and it holds 4 cards. 6-8 - that's gonna be bulky regardless, but try this one

I believe it is the slimmest out of the rebels, looks nice and slim besides the 4 corners it’sjust a tad wider than the aramid version

You have any problems with the interior frost getting damaged in the corners after removing the case a few times?
“A few times” ? Lol you mean the very first time 🥲 yeah. But with the carbon fiber pattern protective skin I use you don’t notice it much Thanks to the pattern

I had this happen with the Lumen. Scratched along one side of the back the first time I put in the phone. Not a big fan of clear cases for this reason. That, and the dust that always finds its way in.
Hey @Hooterville , did you ever try out your Stone Gray Silicone? I’ve used mine quite a bit more than my black one and it‘s holding up much better, or at least it’s not showing the wear as much. Might be worth giving it a go if you haven’t already. As you know, the button, grip, comfort, and form factor are so good if you can get past the lint and grease.
